“ Brand: Milka / Type: Milk „
A small note on the name of this review - it should be Milka Fire not Milka Fever. When I saw this in the shop it intrigued me but I have to say that I was a bit of a woose and left it until last in my challenge to taste and review the new Limited Edition Milka Range. The idea of chilli and chocolate.. well.. Garlic? Bread?.. It didn't appeal much to me, little did I know that it was a currently trendy thing to eat. The 100g block of Milka was seperated into squares, all which had a slightly softer bottom than the regular type of Milka chocolate, underneath the chocolate coating, they had a rich dark creamy chocolate spread which contained the chilli flavour. Initially, it just seemed like rich chocolate but about 30 seconds later it gave you a bit of a hit and in particular hit the back of your throat. I wouldn't call it ridiculously hot but you wouldn't want to put too many pieces in at once, thinking there was no flavour! Overall, an interesting treat that I certainly wouldn't avoid if someone offered me but I didn't find it as appealing as the other chocolate in the Special Edition range. Like the rest of the range, this contains 550calories.
