We needed a car seat for our daughter who had just reached 9kg's and after much research we went with the Maxi-Cosi Priori. There were two many reasons for this the first being that having had the Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix, Maxi-Cosi was now a brand we knew and trusted. Secondly, was the research we came across showed that this was a very safe car seat. The things I liked about the Priori was that it was good value for money at £114 and so was within our budget. It is easy to fit, I find some cars seats completely baffling but this was not the case with Priori, the belt tensioner helps with the ease of fitting too. It was very comfortable for my daughter, she happens to hate carseats and spends much of her time screaming whilst in them but this was not the case with the Priori. She also is very good as escaping from car seats but she is yet to do that with this one. It also reclines which was particularly important for us as she still naps in the car. Plus, and although it isnt of great importance compared to safety and the like, it does look good. The things I didnt like were that it is only forward facing, if I was to buy another stage one car seat I would make sure it was rear-facing. It is not particularly easy to clean if you need it to stay in the car (however it is fully washable once taking it off), which is not ideal given travel sickness, drink spills and the like. And the shape of the five-point harness means that it sometimes digs in.
