      Yummy

I'm a bit of a cheese fiend, and I love trying new flavours, so when I spotted this in amongst the Cream Cheese in Sainsburys , I was tempted by it's cute little box, a lovely light blue with cute little cartoon angels. It also had the words 'Heavenly Creamy' on the front - and into my basket the little 125g pot went, costing me just £1.49. Opening it up, inside is a soft whte rind cheese, similar in appearance to Brie and Camembert, although this differs in being much softer and spreadable right out of the fridge .Leaving it on the side for 15 minutes or so before using softens it up even more, and makes it really easy to spread - I enjoyed mine with some crusty French bread . Biting into it, the flavour was lovely, intensely creamy, and almost sticking to my mouth. It was quite rich, and there was a slight subtle sweetness in the taste. It certainly felt very indulgent and sinful to eat. I also tried it combined with a little cranberry sauce, although this didn't work so well as the delicate flavour was easily overpowered . This is a cheese that needs to be eaten alone. Per 100g, this cheese contains 31g of fat and 345 calories. That's a lot, but this cheese is so nice that it's worth it, and is something I would eat as an occasional treat rather than every day . I really like this cheese and will certainly be buying it again. 5 stars .

Soft Cheese That Is Made For Flavour And Not For Dieters!

The other day in Tesco I wanted to buy some Philadelphia but it was on special offer so they didn't have none of the plain one left so I ended up looking for something else because I didn't fancy flavoured soft cheese that day. Caprice Des Dieux is a new brand and works out a bit more expensive, it's £1.49 for a 125g tub of soft cheese.... but it's DELISH and well worth the extra pennies!!! It comes in a tub just like in the photo Dooyoo have got up and is classed as being "HEAVENLY CREAMY", there are pictures of angels on the tub as well and I reckon that's supposed to make us think that this is a heavenly cheese! lol I don't know if that works because I'd buy it whether there was angels on the tub or not! This cheese is GORGEOUS. It's mega creamy and proper refreshing as you eat it because of how thick it is and the fact that you've kept it in the fridge. It's got a very thick texture but is so soft that you can spread it easy onto crackers or bread and it doesn't put holes in the bread like Philadephia does sometimes. The taste of this soft cheese is sooooooooo nice. It's got a milder flavour than most soft cheese and as long as you use it with a plain cracker than you'll even be able to taste the cream in it. It's delish spread thick on plain ryvitas and it gives them a gorgeous taste and the creamy texture makes it seem like you're not eating cardboard! lol This is a full fat soft cheese and the whole tub has got about 35g fat in it, that's not brill if you're watching your weight but at the end of the day not EVERYONE is on a diet so it's good to find a delish soft cheese that hasn't had all the fat taken out of it. It tastes loads better than any of the lower fat soft cheeses I've had anyway. I had some stirred through some pasta last night with a bit of salmon in it and that was gorgeous, you can deffo tell the difference between this and Philadelphia because it stayed nice and creamy even when it had gone a bit warm from the hot pasta. I reckon it would go good with a jacket potato as well instead of butter. Recommended..... full fat AND full flavour!!!
