Last Christmas I was given the gift of a brand spanking new Sony handycam after laying some hefty hints that that's what I wanted. As soon as I started fiddling with my new toy I knew straight away it was going to get a lot of use out and about on my travels so I decided tom purchase a case for it to ensure it was adequately protected against any scrapes and scratches it might pick up along the way.
I prompted to go for the official case and the LCS-X30 is designed to carry the full range of Sony camera products along with accessories. It's a very tidy and smart looking case that feels superbly made and out together. It isn't cheap and costs between £25-£30 at most retailers but it provides value for money as it will protect your camera and you need never buy another case again as this will last.
The main pouch lies in the middle and its very tight and snug for my handycam providing excellent protection. It has a mesh lining too which adds extra security and the additional pockets are at the sides and one at the front where you can place whatever accessories you need. The handle on the top is solid and feels steady as does the wrist strap handle on the side.
Also being a soft back carrying case as opposed to a hard back one its easy to transport around although I did also invest in a hard case for when the camera is in a bag that may get knocked around. This bag certainly wont protect you against drops and being banged about inside luggage but then again its not intended to do so.
The whole product reeks of quality and the soft cushioning material is ideal to protect your valued possession! Certainly worth paying the extra for!
