I bought the Pentax NC-W2 camera case a while ago for use with my disposable cameras. This case is specifically designed for the Pentax 'W Series' camera's. You may be wondering why I use a case to carry disposable camera's, but I like to protect them for the short time I own them as I don't want the camera to get damaged as they are often made from poor quality and cheap plastics. The other thing you may be wondering is why I chose this particular case. The neoprene material that this case is made from is stretchy, meaning it will accomodate a variety of shapes and sizes of camera. The neoprene material also ensures the contents of it are protected from light damage caused through dropping the case. if you have an expensive and heavy camera I doubt very much that this flimsy case would protect your camera from heavy contact, but for my use it is more than ideal. One of the other main reasons for selecting this case is that the design is simple.
The case is very simple in that it has just one zip over the top egde to open and close a single compartment. The zip is simple aswell, with a nice rubber finish to it. The word 'Pentax' is written on the front of the case, but this is the only real detail on the case. The case is 6.5cm in height, with a width of 11.5cm and depth of 2.3cm. I think this case would easily accomodate most digital camera's these days, as the size is generally becoming smaller and smaller.
I paid about £5 on WWW.Amazon.co.uk for the NC-W2 digital camera case, which I think is an absolute steal. Although the design is basic I thought it would have cost a bit more - I think it is certainly worth it. The hard-wearing and durable neoprene will continue to go on protecting various different models of disposable camera with no fuss or hassle. A simple zip operation makes for quick access which can be crucial when you are on holiday etc.
I am more than happy to recommend the Pentax NC-W2 camera case for those with compact digital camera's. I am sure most camera's would fit into this case, though if you are in doubt just measure it up to the dimensions of this case before purchase.
I bought this case about a week after buying my new camera and have to say - I love it. It looks very stylish (in black) and includes a zip which makes the case very secure and easy to access. I got my case for £10.00, which I think is a very good deal for such a high quality, long lasting product.
The most important thing you need to know is that it's made of neoprene. Neoprene is a synthetic rubber and is quite a high quality material. I also here it's very long lasting - so I shouldn't need to replace it any time soon. I'm very pleased that Pentax kept things simple here and merely put their small logo at the bottom corner of the case.
I haven't had it very long so can't comment on the durability of it but it looks to me as a well made product. It's designed for Pentax compact cameras, and you probably won't be able to fit larger cameras in the case. You should remember this before purchasing
Overall I'm very pleased with this case and definitely think it's worth a purchase. As long as you can do without any bells and whistles - this case is perfect for you.
