My mum was wanting a present for her Birthday, and strongly hinted at a camcorder to my dad. Therefore, i was dragged into finding a suitable one for her. We looked in many shops, and we came across the Sony TRV67. We were surprised about the price, as many we saw were between £250.00 and £350.00. At £499.00, it was quite expensive. We put this right down. We soon came back, as many others on the market, were pretty poor, and reviewed the pros and cons of this camcorder. The price of £500.00 kept popping into our head. However, we bought it,(with the help of an over-useful sales assistant, who won't let you leave until you have bought the product you are holding!). Soon came mum's Birthday, and she was delighted and made out she was surprised. We used it on the first day and it worked fine. It did everything a camcorder is meant to do. A couple of days later, mum soon wanted to play with it. With the help of the manual, we found out more useful and fasinating extras. The 80 x digital zoom and nightshot 0 lux were very useful. It also has a built in light, for them times, you try a build your very own, personal Blair Witch Projects, in your back garden. However, this usually didn't work, because of it's steady shot provided, which makes your 'film' professional,(unlike the Blair Witch Project). It also has a fold out camera, which shows the current picture you are recording. #this is 2.5 inches squared and has a LCD display and speaker. Once you are recording, you can produce picture effects, of eight different kinds. A remote control and rechareable batteries, all come as a standard package. I soon wondered what made this special. Well, i soon found out that it was one thing. It cost about £150.00 more than others! So really you want to buy, the same camcorder, which has a different code, a lower 'rank', and you will save about 150 quid!
