If you have owned mobile phones for many years I am quite sure that you will have experienced problems with your sim card on at least one occassion. Carrying round with you the Hama Sim Card Saver is a must, or at least having one in your possession to periodically backup your contacts 'just in case'. Now and again you could accidently delete SIM card data, including phone contacts which are irretrievable once erased. SIM cards can also wipe data or become water damaged when you accidently drop your mobile phone in the bath or sink.
This product allows you to plan for something that is inevitable at some point of mobile phone ownership, and will happen to you at the most random of times. The Hama Sim card Saver does exactly what it says on the tin, it saves contacts to the reader for use when you need the data after a complete loss. Also, if your mobile phone is stolen, you will immediately be able to upload all contacts to your new SIM card.
The SIM Card saver is operated using just 2 buttons. There is a slot in which to enter your SIM card, and a red LED light which lights up when the reader is transferring data. Once you have inserted your SIM card you can press the 'Backup' button to transfer contacts to the reader, or the 'Restore' button to restore contacts to your SIM card. Once you have pressed the relevent button, the red LED lights up and once it has switched off you are okay to remove the SIm card.
As the reader comes as a keyring it can be carried around with you, or you could keep it in a safe place like me. At under a tenner you can save yourself a lot of hassle with this product. The only alternative to one of these gadgets is to use the free services most mobile phone providers offer. Unfortunately, you will have to go to the shop for 'backups' and 'restores' and this little device saves that hassle, well worth the purchase price, recommended.
