“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Hoops „
All my family love Nestle Cheerios, and I prefer them to eat a cereal with reduced sugar rather than some of the sugary, chocolate laden breakfast offerings. I discovered Tesco's own version of the cereal, Tesco Multigrain Hoops, a few years ago. Like Cheerios, they are small hoops of oat, barley, wheat, maize and rice, and although have a sugar coating, have less sugar than many other cereals. They are also fortified with Vitamins, Folic Acid and Iron. They taste and look just like Cheerios, but at £1.39 per 375g box, opposed to £2.09 for 375g Cheerios, they are a good value, healthy breakfast cereal, and in fact the Tesco Multigrain actually have 2g less sugar per 100g, which is a double bonus. The first time my family tried the cereal, no-one noticed the difference, and still to this day are pretty unware of them not being actual 'Cheerios' They come in a traditional cardboard cereal box, the box is white with coloured writing and a bowl of the cereal is pictured on the front of the box. The design of the box is not dissimilar to the Nestle Brand. The hoops are tasty, slightly sweet and a filling breakfast, my kids also often have them dry as a snack. The only difference I have noticed is the hoops are only slightly smaller than Cheerios, but taste exactly the same, and have same amount of vitamins and iron. They are currently on offer at Tesco for 99p per box, and if you like Cheerios, you'll like these, I doubt you'll notice any difference!
If you like Cheerios I deffo recommend these Multigrain Hoops that are made by Tesco. A 375g box is 95p and they're delish, I'm not sure if they're 100% like Cheerios because I haven't had them for ages and can't remember but I know they're proper yummy. They are rings made of oats, barley, maize, wheat and rice coated in a thin sugar coating. It's that thin you can't see it but you can taste it because it gives the hoops a wicked sweet flavour. The hoops are lovely and crunchy and taste gorgeous, they're not madly sweet so you feel weird eating them early in the morning but they don't taste anything like healthy cereal! lol They're deffo aimed at kids because of the crunch and sweetness of the cereal but because of all the grains in them they've got a sort of GOOD FOR YOU taste to them as well. I think they go soggy a bit too quick in the milk though but that's the ONLY thing that puts me off them sometimes. You've got to be ready to sit down and start eating as soon as you pour the milk onto the cereal because they swell up a bit too much for me when they've soaked for too long. These are also proper nice to have dry in a bowl, they've got a lovely sweet taste when the cereal hasn't got milk on it and I sometimes have them while I'm sitting watching a film at home because there's loads less calories in a bowl of these than in popcorn or a box of chocs!!! The box is different to the one Dooyoo have got up, the one I've got now has got 2 cartoon leopards on the front looking at a big bowl of Multigrain Hoops. I prefer the one above though because it looks more fun and not as cheesey! lol Recommended.... half the price of Cheerios and have got a wicked flavour!!!
