      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A nice breakfast cereal which will fill you up till dinner time.

I go through a phase of eating cereals. I tend to get bored if I stick to 1, so chop and change what I have. So right now I am having Nestle Honey Cheerios for breakfast.

      ***Price and Packaging***
I bought a 375g packet of this cereal for £2.29. It comes in a bright orange packet with a bowl of cheerios on the front and the nutritional information. This box is appealing and bright and will easily draw you into looking at it. The ingredients and contact details are found on the side of the box.

On opening the cardboard box the cereal is inside a sealed celophane packet to keep it fresh.

      ***The Cereal***
The cereal contains '4 delicious whole grains', it states this on the front of the box, and has the 'whole grains guaranteed' logo on the box. So, what are these grains? These are listed in the ingredients. I shan't list all the ingredients, but the 4 grains are:

      1) Cereal grains (74.3%)
      2) Whole grain oats (23.9%)
      3) Whole grain wheat (23.9%)
      4) Whole grain barley (16.1)

The cereal itself are small, round wholegrain pieces with a hole in the middle. What I like about this cereal is that they are small and easy to eat, and crunchy too. I do not add sugar to this as I find them sweet enough as it is. They're not too sweet, but for me, sugar is not needed. They don't taste bland or boring. As I said, you can taste the sweetness in them.

The aroma of them isn't too strong. They do have a sweety smell to them, but this isn't overpowering.

According to the box the pack contains at least 12 30g servings of this cereal, and they do stress how important it is to have a varied and balanced diet. A 30g serving of Cheerios contains114kcal. I have picked up on the sweetiness of this and a 30g serving contains 7.4g of sugar.

This fills me up until lunch time and would recommend this cereal for all the family.

      ***My thoughts***
Personally, I like this cereal. Once this box is finished I will no doubt be eating something else for breakfast lol, but for now, this box of cereal will see me though and will be trying this again in the future. I would highly recommend this for everyone.

        A good cereal

        ***

As a child I remember eating Weetabix with Honey Nut Loops, a cereal with a very cheery buzzing bee as its logo. I know Cheerios has been around for a while, but only recently have I given it a go, when I ran out of my usual chocolate cereals. Cheerios is very similar to Honey Nut Loops, in fact other than being less sticky and not having a bee grace the cover of the Cheerios cereal box, they are practically the same.

Cheerios come in the shape of small circles with a hole in the middle, I like to think of them as miniature doughnuts. They are very sweet, the flavour is more of sugar than of honey, and they are very crunchy. The sweet taste lingers on the tongue for a few minutes before becoming a mere memory. As a child I was forced to eat Weetabix, but as I hated the stuff, my parents decided to add Honey Nut Loops on top of this to make it tastier. Yes, this did work while the loops lasted, but they made little difference to the milky Weetabix below, and once the loops were finished I had to add more loops until I had finished all the Weetabix.

I always take milk with my morning cereal, or rather I take cereal with my morning milk, a healthy habit. Cheerios in warm milk becomes soggy quickly though not as quickly as coco pops, presumably because Cheerios are thicker. As with most cereals they taste best partially crunchy and partially soft. They leave the milk tasting very sweet, almost as though you have put a spoon of sugar into the milk. This is not a taste that I like, as I am not a fan of plain milk, and this is just sweetened plain milk, so it does make me feel nauseous when I drink the remaining milk without any Cheerios. As such, Cheerios are a cereal I prefer to eat dry, and I find that they make a great midnight snack when I am very hungry.

Call me a child, but I do prefer cereals that have a friendly animal or insect logo accompanying it, I reckon Cheerios could do with one! Overall this is a decent cereal, definitely recommended. Available in all supermarkets in varying sizes and prices.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        An addictive cereal

One of my favourite cereals is Nestle's Honey Cheerios. These are just like the normal Cheerios - crunchy O shaped cereals - but this variety is coated in golden honey making them a deep golden colour and giving them a yummy sweet smell.

They are very crunchy and it takes the milk quite a while to make them soggy. Because they're so crunchy it makes them one of those great cereals that you just snack on from the box without milk as they are gorgeously tasty like this. The addition of honey gives them a very sweet taste which makes them so much more delicious than just being plain in taste. They're fun for children because of the O shape which makes them a great cereal for the entire family.

These are quite a healthy cereal as they're made from corn, oats, rice and wheat and are a wholegrain cereal which is shown in a big green strip across the top of the box. They're also quite filling which makes them a great start to the day and are the perfect breakfast to fill you up until lunch time.

I haven't tried the plain Cheerios but I don't think I'd be keen on them as they'd be too plain for me which is why I like these ones as they're sweeter and have more flavour.

These usually cost just under £2 for a box which is actually cheaper than most other cereals so as well as being deliciously tasty and good for you, they're also pretty good value for money.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

cheerios with a tint of honey

Cheerios are one of my favourite breakfast cereals, I love how the three different hoops taste, and also they are pretty good for you despite contain quite a bit of sugar however these honey cheerios are even better than the original ones.

I really like cheerios because there really sweet and nice to eat, they are made up of loads of little rings of wholegrain including rice, wheat, barley, maize and oats. There are three different colour and taste of cheerios in there however when there all mixed together they give a very nice and unique tasting cereal that is cheerios.

These honey cheerios however are the same as the original ones but they also have a glazing of honey on the edges of them. This makes them a bit stickier to handle id you do touch them you can see there the honey ones however it also makes them nicer.

I do think honey can be sickly in large amounts which is why they have kept it low with these, not too much but just enough to get a nice tint of honey on your cheerios when your eating them. The cereal is really sweet, maybe too sweet for some, but I do have a sweet tooth so for me this cereal is perfect and I love it.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

A Delicious Breakfast Cereal Or Snack.

Nestle Honey Cheerios are delicious mini doughnut shaped cereal which comes in four different grains (corn, oats, rice & wheat) and are all contained with one packet to give your breakfast a little bit of everything.

A 375g box is available for around £1.97 from Sainsburys and many other supermarkets and corner stores for a similar price.

Honey Cheerios carry a wholegrain guarantee and the box states that one bowl (30g serving) is 1/3 of your daily recommend amount of wholegrain so this is great if you have children and want to give them the best start every morning.

A 30g serving with 125ml semi skimmed milk contains 171 calories, 16.4g of sugars & 1.4g of fat so this should be enjoyed in moderation as it does contain a fairly high dosage of sugar which comes from the honey coating on the o's.

The product is supplied in a standard cardboard cereal box with the Nestle logo and miscellaneous information about the cereal as well as an ingredients and nutritional information. Inside the box is a sealed plastic bag containing the cereal. Once this is opened either store the cereal in an airtight container or ensure that you fold the bag down as low as possible and store in the box in a kitchen cupboard.

When I have my bowl of cereal I have more than 30g (I don't measure I just pour a massive bowl) and pour over green milk and then I would usually add some sugar but I don't need to with this cereal as it is deliciously sweet.

The taste of the product is fantastic they're lovely and crisp and crunchy and they absorb the milk very well, you can taste the seperate grains and this gives the cereal a different flavour in every mouthful so it's hard to get bored of this, even if you have it everyday for your breakfast. The honey coating is delicious on the o's and each mouthful is lovely and sweet and delicious.

I would highly recommend this cereal, it's great for children and adults alike but if you are watching your weight or counting your calories then ensure that you measure your cereal and your milk and ditch the sugar! I would always advise you measure a serving if giving to little ones to avoid giving them too much sugar.

I have no complaints at all about this product, it's delicious and definitely worth the price tag! I am going to rate this cereal 5/5 as it's sweet and delicious and ideal as a snack after work when I am peckish but it's not yet dinnertime.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

Tasty little O's with added honey sweetness

            ***Packaging***

Honey Cheerio's come in a bright orange coloured cardboard cereal box with an image of the bowl of the cereal on the front of the packaging. This is really bright and colourful and stands out on the shelves in the supermarket. Inside the box the cereal is in a white plastic bag for additional freshness.

            ***Price***

A 500g box of Honey Cheerios costs £1.89 in Asda. This is averagely priced and reasonable for a "branded" cereal however in comparison to supermarkets own brand of cereals this is relatively expensive.

            ***Nestle Honey Cheerios***

Honey Cheerios are like normal Cheerios round O's about 1cm in diameter. In comparison the plain Cheerios the Honey version are a slightly more golden brown colour with more of shiny coating to them.

When you pour the cereal in the bowl it has quite a sweet scent, and if you sniff closely you can smell honey mixed with a wheaty type scent.

After the milk is poured over the cereal it is initially very crunchy however as you get nearer the bottom of the bowl the cereal is very soggy. I find that I tend to put less milk on Cheerios than I do other cereals in order make the cereal less soggy as Cheerios definitely taste better when the cereal is crunchy. The milk turn very sweet, a lot sweeter than it does with the plain Cheerios.

Honey Cheerios have a lot more flavour to them than the plain Cheerios cereal and are a lot sweeter. This is quite a strong honey type taste and is immediately apparent as soon as you eat a spoonful. As you crunch the cereal quite a wheaty wholesome taste becomes apparent. The after taste is still very sweet and there is a definite taste of honey.

            **Nutritional Information**

            Per 30g serving
            110 calories
            11.6g sugar
            1.9g

            ***Overall***
Cheerios are a great breakfast cereal for those looking for something relatively low calorie and low fat for breakfast. However the Honey Cheerios do have a fair amount of sugar per serving especially in comparison to the traditional Cheerios. A bowl of Cheerios is a filling way to start the day and the cereal has a crunchy sweet wheaty taste... providing you do not leave the Cheerios in the bowl too long as the cereal does go soggy quite quickly.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            A healthy crunchy breakfast

I picked these up in Sainsbury's thinking they were the Honey Nut ones only to find that they are just Honey. However, I am not disappointed because they are lovely.

Cheerios have been around for a long time but it is only in the last few months that I have rediscovered them. I love the crunchiness of the little circles and one of the best things about them is that they taste just as good dry as with milk, making them the ideal snack to pop into a container and take to work or out for the day.

The box is bright and cheerful with its red, blue, yellow and green colours and really brightens up the breakfast table. it is also recyclable, including the plastic bag inside.

On a nutritional note one 30g serving provides the following:

            Calories 111
            total sugars 10.5g
            fat 0.8g
            salt 0.3g
            fibre 1.7g

A bit high on the sugar but I suspect that is due to the honey and the Cheerios original would probably be better on that score if it was necessary for a medical reason (or diet one) to keep sugar low. However, on a more positive note there is lots of fibre, it works out to 7% of recommended daily allowance .

As with most breakfast cereals Cheerios have loads of added vitamins and minerals including Iron, vitamin c and calcium.

Cheerios seems to be one of healthier cereals around and also, in my opinion, one of the tastier and crunchier.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

              Bargain buy

Cheerios is one of my favourite cereals to wake up to in the morning, as recently spotting a offer in tesco's persuaded me to pay the £1.31 for 2 350g boxes.
This is one of 3 variations of the original cheerios being Original, Honey and Honey nut cheerios.

One thing I noticed about the cheerios was the right amount of honey in the Cheerios, Sharp but concise and executed brilliantly. The cheerios blend the honey in with the milk so the Milk tastes of Gorgoeus honey.

Also the one thing I love to know is that it is healthy, one bowl of Honey nut cheerios gives you 2 out of the 3 wholegrains you need every day, which is vital for the body helping things such as constipation.
Nestle do this with most of they're cereals now so you can blend in a few of your favourites instead of getting bored with just the one.

Aswell as this the packaging is very eyecatching, with a multicolour stripe coming across the box in a 'v-shape' and Blod Cheerios written across the top in purple/blue and red. Underneath is a simulation of Cheerios hitting the milk in your bowl, You don't get much better than that!

I have tried and tried and still cannot find faults with this product so therefore I must recommend to anybody! No flaws or cutbacks meaning It gets a perfect 5/5!

              Thanks for reading

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

                Great anytime snack!

I don't really care what anyone else say's I love these...I feel like they are my adult version of sugar puffs! I have not I'm afraid memorised the ingredients so can't tell you technically what goes into these but they do keep me full until lunch time and they stop me reaching for my purse to head to the vending machine for a chocolate fix!

These are ALOT sweeter the normal cheerio's (which I also love) but some mornings when your looking for a sweeter alternative I think these are the perfect alternative. They are also sweet enough to have as a snack when your craving sweets and/or chocolate AND if you can not have a bowl of cereal in work I also sometimes put them into a sandwich bag and nibble on them, as they are not too sticky you won't end up with sticky fingers and covered with sugar/syrup whilst eating them!

The above to me makes them a great alternative to a bland breakfast and a great alternative as a healthy snack!

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

Great everyday ceral for everyone packed with lots and lots of goodness.

Cheerios has always been a great cereal if maybe a bit plain. Many of us find ourselves picking through them to get to the tasty honey pieces. Honey cheerios are great tasting whilst keeping the goodness of cheerios. The green banner on the packaging meaning that wholegrain is guaranteed ensures we get at least one of our recommended portions of wholegrain out of three a day.

This is great for those of us that just don't have a taste for wholemeal bread; pasta etc and I know I'm one of those people. The cereal is also highly nutritious and one bowl provides you with a plethora of vitamins and minerals. You should definitely buy this if you want an everyday cereal that is great for you and isn't excessively coated in sugar and what not. Honey cheerios is also a great choice for the kids as it bridges the gap between great taste and the goodness packed in to it. With this cereal I don't know how there cannot be smiles all round.

                  Advantages

                  Disadvantages

                  Smiles all round with Cheerios

One of Nestle's most popular cereals are the Cheerios range, my favourite being the Honey Cheerios. The original Cheerios look like they'd taste rather plain and dull but Honey Cheerios, which are coated in golden honey, both sound and taste delicious.

This breakfast cereal is a blend of whole grain corn, oats, rice and wheat in tasty little O shapes sweetened with golden honey. The cereal has a sweet smell and each little O is crunchy and has a very sweet honey taste. Mixed with cold milk they make a really delicious yet healthy cereal for children and adults alike. They're so tasty that I do often find myself picking some out of the box and just snacking on them without milk as they do in the adverts!

The packaging looks very similar to the original Cheerios box with the Nestle symbol, the whole grain symbol and information and the big word Cheerios with the dot on top of the 'i' being a Cheerio. This box is a deep honey colour though and has a picture of some honey dripping onto the cereal which looks rather tempting. A 375g box costs around £2 and in deals they can sometimes be found for only £1. A 30g serving contains 111 calories and one bowl gives you 1 of your 3 recommended daily whole grain servings.

I get through so many of these I love them so much. They're my favourite cereal - they're filling and will keep you from feeling hungry again until lunch time and I occasionally have them as an evening meal if I'm not too hungry and just want something to keep me going. Although they don't look particularly attractive and may not be as tempting to children as other chocolately or shaped cereals, they really are very yummy and one of the best cereals.
