      Advantages

Have to say this was bad enough for me to check online in case anyone else thought this was bad. Possibly the worst cereal I've tasted from kellogs. Normally love this kind of cereal, even if its a little sweet. But this was far too "hard" and the clusters were often more like long bits of bar. But the worst thingby far was the taste. To me there was an overbearing backtaste of fertiliser, the natural sort!!. I'm not a very farmy type, but it was like some form of slurry or something nastier, bit like the smell of a smelly pig farm, or when your driving along and suddenly a strong smell of the countryside enters the car! maybe like muckspreading. I ate this only 20 minutes ago and can honestly still taste that!

I normally really like the Special K range by Kelloggs and I have some favourites in the range though all I have tried have been at least okay.

This new variety called Strawberry Clusters is a bit of a departure from the usual Special K style which is normally flakes plus something or with a coating of something. Had it not been in the recognisable packaging I would have not guessed it be part of that range.

The box looks enticing, it has the well known red letter K on the front and a picture of some of these clusters with some strawberries in the background. A 45g serving is 175 calories and I did notice it was very low in fibre for a cereal, just 3.5g per 100g.

The first scent you get is like that off an air freshener whien you open the box - ie not very genuine. Each cluster is made of multi grain with tiny bits of dried strawberrry. But unforutnately, it is not as nice as it sounds. The cereal is very crunchy to the extent of hurting my teeth and I couldn't taste all the diffetent grains, just the overall taste of glaze that holds the clusters together with the odd sharp fruit taste.

It was relatively filling I suppose on the plus side but to me, it was a cereal bar trying to be a cereal- far too sweet for the morning. It just did not work in its current state.

      Will not eat this again.
