A nice bedding set for Thomas fans

I have 2 little boys who are both Thomas mad which means we have 5 different Thomas bedding sets between them each one being a different design there are so many to choose from so I would advise looking around to find the one you like best. They normally retail for around £10-18 and the sets include a single quilt cover and a pillow case all to fit on standard size single beds.

Each of the sets we have are bright in colour and always have the main character Thomas the tank engine on them with Thomas and number 1 written somewhere on the set. You can get ones that have Percy, James or Gordon on them and my boys love each design we have the characters are printed well and they are easily recognisable as their favourite TV character. They all match well with the other Thomas merchandise around the room and although my youngest son opted for a cars2 bed rather than a Thomas bed they still look fine when his bed is dressed.

The set washes extremely well it holds its colour without fading or dying anything else in the wash and comes up clean very easily. It is machine washable as you would expect and as it does not run I can put it in with other bed sets without worrying. It can also be tumble dried without shrinking although I prefer to hang them outside with typical Scottish weather this is a rare occasion I add my stuff to the line and then the rain decides to start.

They are designed to be iron free so you can put them straight on the beds without them looking terrible but we do find there are still some creases in them but it takes me 2 minutes to iron them out so this is not a big deal. There are popping buttons at the bottom of the set which hold it on the quilt correctly and these are very easy to do up and un do so changing and washing the covers is no problem. I have found on most of the Thomas sets they are maybe a little too easy to undo and we do find in the morning some come undone during the night which can mean the quilt cover starts to make its way up the quilt especially because a lot of the sets are made of polyester and moves around very easily.

This leads me to my downside I would love to find a set that is not made from polyester as 4 out of the 5 Thomas sets we have for our boys are made from 100% polyester while 1 is half cotton half polyester. We just find that the quilt cover moves to freely on the quilt and while this can be a good thing as it is easy to get on and off it is not so good when you have to not only make the bed every morning but put the quilt cover back on the quilt.

Over all we love our Thomas bedding it sets the room off nicely and any Thomas fan will absolutely love it. They are not too expensive to buy in the same price range as other character bedding and they hold their shape and colour well. They are available to buy from a range of places we usually buy ours from Tesco or Amazon.
