      Not so super

I cut my husband's hair on occasion and for this I use the Babyliss for Men Super Hair Clippers, they were purchased in December 2013 for £50 and have been used many times in that time.

The Super Hair Clippers can be used whilst plugged in but the cord will also charge them, this is a very slow process with a three or four hour charging time giving just under one hour of cutting. This is not the information given by Babyliss who state that a three hour charge will offer 75 minutes of cutting time, in my view these figures are way off and the quick 30 minute charge for 30 minutes of cutting time is inaccurate too as a short charge like that offers less than ten minutes for me to cut my husband's hair.

I have been impressed with the speed at which the clippers cut through the hair and also with the accuracy they display even on the first run across the head. There is usually very little neatening to do except for around the ears and at the nape of the neck, my husband has informed me he feels no tugging on his hair when I am using the clippers with the only discomfort being when I cut the hair close to his neck as by his account that pulls quite forcefully for a few seconds.

This set of hair clippers is lacking a turbo button, that is a pity as on our last model I found that to be very useful for the thicker hair at the crown of my husband's head and have missed having this function on this set of clippers.

The clippers are sleek and comfortable to hold in the hand, I have been cutting my husband's hair for many years and have experience with different brands and styles of hair clippers. This has so far been the one that is most comfortable with the metallic outer casing remaining cool in my hand for the time I am holding it to cut off all my husband's hair.

In my view this is a very good set of clippers but overpriced. I would usually spend no more than £30 on a similar set so paying the extra I believed this would be a superior set, instead they have removed the very useful turbo function and provided a set of hair clippers that does not charge as well or as efficiently as far cheaper clippers I have used previously. The bag provided is also not to the same high standard as previous Babyliss hair clipper sets, it is too large for what it is required to hold and has already showed signs of fraying at two of the corners in spite of it receiving only light use.
