As I have said in a previous review I love my baths. I tend to use different products depending on what they have on offer. I am pretty demanding when it comes to bath products, I am a firm believer that if you love something you should get the best possible experience out of it! This is why I love this product. The bottle is pretty much the same as the picture above, with a few minor design changes. The blue top is of the flip variety, this stops spillages and makes for a mess free bathroom (at least for me, I get product everywhere). You can buy Sanex in pretty much every major retailer, its often on offer in Tesco. At the moment it is only £1 a bottle in my local Tesco, it usually retails at around the £2.29 mark. It's a good value product that's worth stocking up on when it's on offer. This particular product is for 'normal' skin, they also have several other types of bath creams for more sensitive skin. The products main claim is that it offers three benefits to your skin, protection, moisturisation and rebalance. **Protection** It claims to improve your skins natural protection barrier, whilst I don't disbelieve the claim I haven't noticed that my skin is anymore protected than usual! **Moisturisation** It claims to give you soft and well moisturised skin; I think it lives up to that claim pretty well. My skin always feels soft after using the product; I also notice that it doesn't get as dry as it usually does during the day. **Rebalance** It claims to restore your skins natural balance, again I haven't really noticed any difference in my skins 'balance' I think they like to throw claims at their products to enable it to sell more rather than actually describe what the product can do for your skin. This product certainly isn't trying to be a luxurious product, however it seems to have found itself in that position in my opinion , if the packaging was spruced up you would be hard pressed to notice that it was a more 'health conscious' product than a luxury one. When using the product I've found that I only need a small amount to make a nice bath full of bubbles. It smells a bit like the bars of Dove soap, but without the associated tightness on your skin that comes with using that product. I adore the smell; it's one of the biggest plus points for me with this product. I feel super clean after having a Sanex bath, I even use the product as a shower gel/shampoo, and it really makes your whole body feel moisturised and clean!
We are always changing which bubble bath we have in our house. We usually just buy whatever is on offer and a few weeks ago we bought Sanex Dermo Protector Cream Bath. We bought the bubble bath when it was on offer but it usually costs £2.68 for 650ml which is about average price for a branded bubble bath. The bottle has changed a little since the picture above was added. It is now a tall white bottle with the Sanex logo on the top. There is a blue snap top lid and it actually looks quite a bit like a shampoo bottle rather than a bubble bath! To use the bubble bath is easy, you simply add some to warm running water. This is where I realised the snap top was actually really useful. By having a top like this, and squeezing the bottle ever so slightly in order to get the product out you only get how much you want meaning that you dont end up with too many bubbles! It also means that none of the product ends up spilling down the side of the bottle. The bubble bath provides lots of bright white bubbles and you dont need much of the bubble bath to provide a good amount of bubbles. The bubbles last well in the bath, my baths usually last around 30 - 40 minutes and they are still there when I get out. I have sensitive skin and I have not noticed any problems with this bubble bath. What I have noticed is that my skin is softer and smoother than ever before and all from using this bubble bath. Usually I suffer from dry skin which can get sore but my skin feels very soft and supple. We have had this bubble bath for about 3 weeks now and there is still just under half of the bottle left which shows how long lasting it is. I would certainly recommend this bubble bath. You get a lot of product for your money and it has made my skin very soft and it feels very moisturised.
As someone with dry and sensitive skin, I am always searching for bath products that won't irritate my skin and that will give it a little bit of moisture. Sometimes when I'm in a hurry I won't apply a separate moisturiser over my body so this is something I look to my bath soap to provide. I am quite a fan of Sanex products because I find they are quite gentle take good care of my skin. It was because I know I like their roll-on deodorant that I decided to give their Dermo Protector Cream Bath a try. The cream bath comes in an opaque white plastic bottle with a blue top. Sanex designs their containers to be functional rather than elegant and this bottle is no exception. It works just fine and dispenses the soap well without letting it run out too quickly, but it doesn't add anything to the look of the bathroom. I don't really mind this as I'm just interested in products that work, but someone more design conscious might object. To use this, first I start the water running in the bath and then I pour a bit in to make some nice luxurious bubbles. I find it foams up rather well as there are always a lot of bubbles when I return after the bath has finished running. I also use this during my bath to wash with. I pour a bit on a bath puff as I find this helps it go further than a flannel does as you don't need to use as much to get a good lather. Then I wash myself with it all over, except for my face where I use a specifically designed face wash. Sanex Dermo Protector Cream Bath is meant for normal skin but I would say it is useful for normal to dry skin. It claims to rebalance skin and add a protective layer to it. I don't know about that, but I don't tend to get eczema flare-ups when I use this (I only have very mild eczema anyway) so perhaps it does work. It also claims to moisturise and this I can definitely tell it does because it leaves my skin nice and soft. It also leaves me perfectly clean. It doesn't smell like anything much but I prefer this - others might want something more girly-scented but I find this works well for me and I think it would for anyone who didn't want a strong scent to their bath wash. This cream bath costs £2.37 for 750 ml from Tesco's which I consider a very fair price for a body wash of this quality.
I really like this product. My skin is very sensitive and I am allergic to most things I put on it, so finding something that helps remoisturise my eczema and dry skin without me reacting to it is a real joy! It foams in the water like 'normal' bath cream or bubble bath but is lovely and soft on your skin, isn't perfumed (as far as I can tell), and works a treat. I can't recommend it enough!Karen in Essex
