I purchased this shower gel for £1 in Superdrug and it has a nice smell and lathers up well. These come in all different coloured bottles depending on which smell you choose. It is suitable for the all over body and with it's nice scent it freshens you up and leaves you smelling gorgeous! For the price you pay you can't really go wrong-- sometimes you can also purchase it in pound shops Radox is a well known brand which I have purchased for a long time now.. I tend to use the Radox bubble bath as well.. all of their products are extremely reasonably priced and I am never disappointed. Sometimes it is better sticking with a well known brand than splashing out on something really expensive which is a designer name and in the long run it might not be that good. Definitely a winner in my book!
Radox Berry Burst I am not at all concerned about or interested in specific product brands or manufacturers when it comes to soaps, body washes and shower gels in general. I am easily persuaded by a low price if the item is something that I need. And this is how I came to start using this Radox Berry Burst Shower Cream. ** Price and availability ** Now into my third bottle, I bought my first from Wilkinson's for 90 pence. The current price at this same store is £2. I have seen this item in Sainbury's marked 2 for £3, and also in the 99 pence store. The bottle's bright coloured packaging is what first caught my attention. There's a photograph of summer berries on the front, which is quite appealing, particularly as I write this review in the depths of winter. ** In use ** The 250ml container has an easy-to-open robust flip-top opening in what is used as the base. This is sensible as firstly there is no messing about with lids and secondly the last remnants of the solution can drain and not be wastes. Very efficient! The soap product itself has a strong smell of mixed berries. It reminds me of our home-made smoothies. In y opinion it's very refreshing and not at all overpowering. The white liquid is somewhat viscous - similar to pouring cream. As expected, this cleanser cleans well. It is not too harsh on the skin. In fact, for me, I think that it is almost too delicate as my skin feels very well moisturized after use. I compromise with this product by using it on my body, and a different product on my face. ** Other information ** There is an ingredient list on the back of the packaging. For a change nothing screams out at me as being particularly frightening, and thankfully there is no rat poison in this one (unlike another product I reviewed). The bottle is recyclable although the black cap is not. ** Recommended? ** Yes. Especially if you can find it for less than a pound.
I fancied giving this shower gel a go when I had read a few reviews about it and thought it would be one I would like to use for my morning shower because it sounded really refreshing. It is very easy to spot on a shelf because the bottle is a bright pink colour and has the name very clearly on the front. The liquid is white in colour and it has a rich consistency and doesn't drip from the bottle. The liquid is smooth and soft too. It has really strong fruity fragrance to it which I think is a little stronger than some of the other fragrances from this brand. It is also a sweet scent but a pleasant one and one I like quite a lot. You don't need to use a lot of the liquid to create a good lather and it lathers up really well with just using a small amount. It creates lots of foam on the skin and bubbles. The scent is apparent while showering and it does feel really soft against the skin and a smooth feeling. Feels a nice feeling and the foam simply glides across my skin perfectly. Kind of feels luxurious from this brand and because it is more of a refreshing one I was pleasantly surprised how luxurious it does feel on my skin and the scent is very uplifting too. This one is a really refreshing gel for a morning shower. It really helps wake me up in the mornings and it is one I find I like to use in the mornings and not my evening showers. I think it is one I think is a better time to use it because I prefer a more of a relaxing one for an evening shower. This one is a gentle liquid and hasn't irritated my sensitive skin. It is a mild enough one for anyone who has sensitive skin and although the scent is fairly strong, I do think the liquid is a mild one for my kind of skin and it hasn't caused any rashes etc. It is very easy to rinse from the skin in no time at all. Once rinsed it leaves my skin feeling quite soft and although my skin is still dry because I have very dry skin, it doesn't leave it feeling any drier than normal and once I have applied my body lotion or butter my skin feels nice and soft and I don't need to apply any more of the lotion to soften my skin after washing my body with this product. I have tested it for showering my little grandchildren when they shower at my home and it has been a nice one to use for their more delicate skin but I wouldn't use it all the time because I buy a baby product for their skins but my daughter allows me to test them using a product after I have used it first just to see if it happens to be fine for their sensitive skin too and so we could use the product if we had no baby one available at home. Some people don't buy baby products when they have little ones because money is tight and they just use a family one. If you are one of these people I do think this one would be fine for the little ones but do test on your own skin first to make sure you are happy with it. For a 250ml bottle it cost £2 and I think it is a good price and good value for money. The quality is really good too. I will buy this one again in the future and I am happy to recommend it to others who like a refreshing one to wake you up in the mornings. I give it 5 stars. Thank you for reading my review and I hope it has been of some help.
I am a bit of a sucker for the words "New" or "improved" when it comes to toiletries and i bought this when it was on an introductory offer. It was half price in Sainsburys at £1 which is part of the reason I picked it up. I have seen it available in lots of supermarkets, pharmacies and other retailers. I was drawn to it because it looked liked a natural product which reminded me of original source, my gel if choice. Packaging: The gel comes in a bright pink plastic squeezy bottle. It stands upside down on a black plastic lid. The packaging is strong and I have never had problems with the product leaking out which I have with badly made bottles like this. Product: The gel itself is a creamy white liquid which I'd thick and gloopy. It glides onto damp skin well and feels thick and luxurious. Used with a shower puff it foams really well. The gel has an incredibly strong scent, to me it is too strong and a bit overpowering. The smell is very synthetic and fake, and to me isn't the natural scent I expected to be. However, the scent doesn't linger and so I have happily used the while bottle. The gel mouisturises extremely well and washes off easily. My skin feels soft, smooth and most importantly clean whenever I use it. Verdict: Whilst I really don't like the scent of this I would still say it's a good shower gel. I wouldn't buy it again due to the overpowering smell, but if you like the smell I imagine you would find it a really good gel. It's reasonably priced, lasts well and leaves me feeling clean and moisturised.
= Radox Fresh and Fruity Berry Burst Shower Gel = I will be honest and say that I don't personally buy Radox shower gel as I find it dries my skin out, but Mr Thrifty picked this one up, and as it looked more creamy than the traditional radox I thought I had better give it a try. =Price and Availability= This was purchased from Boots, I later found out that he got it as it was on offer for £1 instead of the RRP of £1.99 =The Bottle= The bottle is a vibrant pink plastic bottle, and has a black flip top lid, which is at the bottom of the bottle. On the front is the Radox Logo, the name, (Berry Burst) followed by a picture of some berries, and on the reverse is the ingredients, instructions on how to use, warning regarding not to get in your eyes, and contact details for the product =To Use= Squeeze some on to a sponge or puff and use on a wet body, rub in then rinse off. =The Gel= The Gel is thick and has a creamy consistency, and you only need a small amount of the gel as it does lather up well. The aroma is that of fresh crushed berries, and has a fruity aroma, which gives an element of freshness to it. =Moisturising= I thought this might be a good moisturising shower gel with it being creamy, it had a base level of moisturising effect which I felt while I was in the shower, but once towel dried, there was no lasting benefit, but then I do try to use a moisturiser, although not always get round to it! =Would I recommend= I would recommend this Gel, as it is a nice fragrance, and was kind to my skin, which is a plus point, this for me is the nicest in the range. =Would I buy again= Personally no, but that is me, not the fault of Radox. =Star= I would say a 4/5.
You can seriously get fresh and fruity with this amazing shower gel from Radox. I am quite a big Radox fan and do love their bath products so when it comes to their shower products as well I like to indulge now and again. I generally change my shower gel depending upon which is the cheapest in Boots at the time and when I bought a bottle of this shower gel it was only £1 which I thought was a real bargain. The shower gel is fruity obviously, the clue's in the name, and my favourite type of smell in the shower definitely has to be a fruity one. I don't mind herbal smells or that type of thing but I definitely prefer more of a fruity smell to make me feel nice and enjoy my shower too. According to Radox, this shower gel is, "inspired by nature. The delectable blend of natural ingredients, like creamy milk and sumptuous berries, are ideal for you to feel fresh. With splendidly fruity fragrances your Berry Burst shower gel will leave you feeling confident and smelling gorgeous all day." I love products that have milk in them as well becasue I always find these to be really creamy and nourishing for my skin and this shower gel is no different. THe product is lovely and creamy and it just glides over my skin and makes it feel very cared for an moisturised. I love the feeling of my skin afterwards too and although I always apply body cream after my shower you don't actually need to after using this shower gel, the milk is that relaxing and softening on the skin. So to the smell, it's absolutely amazing, very fruity and fun and potent too. It is part of Radox's range of Feel Good Fragrance shower gels. They say that each of these products contains a special blend of at least two natural active ingredients to invigorate your body & mind. This flavour is described as berries and milk and the berries in question and strawberries and blueberries, two of my favourite fruits and mixed together they give you a lovely berry smelling red/blue fruit fragrance. Definitely one to have in your shower if you like the smell of fruity berries.
~*~*~ Radox Fresh and Fruity Berry Burst Shower Gel ~*~*~ I am a sucker for bath/shower products. My bathroom is full to the brim with half used body washes and shower gels. This is because I love trying different products and I am a bit of a hoarder (when it comes to beauty products). So whilst out the other day I popped into Boots to pick up my partner some hay fever tablets and decided to peruse down the body wash section (uhh-ooh!). Once down there this extremely vibrant pink shower gel was jumping out at me saying 'buy me! buy me!'. So I picked up the Radox Fresh and Fruity Burst Shower Gel, and the hay fever tablets, paid at the check out and continued on my merry way.... The above is the excuse I used when my partner asked why I had bought yet another shower gel we didn't need. ~*~*~ What is it? *~*~* This is a shower gel by Radox. It comes in a vibrant pink, plastic bottle, with a black, flip-top lid at the bottom of the bottle. To use, you simply squeeze a small amount of product on to your hand (or shower puff/sponge) and wash. On the front of the bottle is the Radox logo, the products name (Berry Burst), what it contains ('shower gel contains sumptuous berries and milk) and a picture of some delicious looking berries. On the back of the bottle is the ingredients, instructions on how to use and a warning to avoid getting product in eyes. ~*~*~ Price and availability ~*~*~ I purchased this shower gel (250ml bottle) from Boots for £1.00 (usual rrp £1.99), but you can also purchase it in most supermarkets. ~*~*~ My thoughts ~*~*~ I love the colour and design of this shower gel. I always tend to go for shower gels which have the lid at the bottom of the bottle, as I find it easier to get the lasts bits out. The bottle itself is very eye catching and vibrant, due to the colour and the picture of the berries. I found that £1.00 was a very reasonable price to pay for a Radox shower gel, as I think the Radox brand it very high quality and I have never been disappointed with any Radox products. The gel is very thick and creamy. It lather up incredibly easily, with only a small amount of product. The best thing about this shower gel is the fragrance. There is a very strong smell of berries, which is absolutely stunning. It reminds me of summer, and using this in the morning is a very pleasant start to my day. The scent lingers on my skin for most of the day, which I like. It is quite sweet and fruity, so if you do not like strong, sweet smelling products then this shower gel might not be the one for you. With regards to moisturising the skin, I do feel like it somewhat moisturises and smooths my skin, however my skin is not particularly dry so this gel is fine for my skin. I do think if you have dry/very dry skin that this is not the most nourishing and hydrating shower gel out there, so you may wish to look at products more suited to dry skin. I personally always use a moisturiser/body butter after a bath or shower, so I don't tend to buy shower gels which are moisturising, I normally just go for ones that smell and look good. ~*~*~ Would I recommend? ~*~*~ Yes I would recommend this product. It smells incredible and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. It is one of the nicest packaged shower gels I have seen and I think for £1.00 this is a bargain. I will be stocking up on this shower gel before it goes back to the usual £1.99 price. I would probably recommend something more moisturising for people that suffer from dry skin. Overall I give this product 4 out of 5 Dooyoo Stars. Thank you for taking the time to read my review :)
I've got a bit of a problem, I buy personal care products almost weekly despite having a box full of bits and pieces already. I know this will be good in the long run, when I'm skint I've always got a fall back! When I spotted this Radox berry burst shower gel it looked good so picked it up. I found my Radox berry burst shower gel in my local 99p store but it's available to buy from other places too including Boots and usually costs between £1 and £2. The shower gel stood out on the shelf amongst the other cheap shower gels due to the intense deep pink colour of the bottle, it's certainly different to the more neutral colours you usually see. The product information on the front has quite a thick outline, along with the picture of berries sort of exploding on the front, it definitely has quite an intense, in your face kind of look to it, I really like it as it is different to most other shower gels. The back of the bottle contains all the normal product information and warnings. At the bottom of the bottle you'll find the black flip lid, if you are a regular of my reviews you will know that I prefer this design as it makes it so much easier to get the last dregs of the product out of the bottle. The lid is easy to open so there is no faffing around whilst you are mid shower. The shower gel itself has a thick, creamy consistency and has an off white colour. I was expecting a gorgeous fruity scent but after dispensing it from the bottle I was quite disappointed, firstly, the smell was far too in your face and strong and secondly, the fruity scent I was expecting was more of an artificial scent so not as gorgeous as I was expecting. The creamy consistency of this means that it is really easy to lather up on my skin and once lathered, has quite a luxury feeling to it almost moisturising. After I've finished in the shower and dried off, my skin is left feeling clean, soft and smooth. The overpowering, artificial scent is left lingering for a while which is a bit of a shame, but I do like the way my skin is left feeling nice and clean. At only a quid I think this shower gel is ok. The scent of the product is the biggest let down, and it's quite a big part of the shower gel so I don't think I will buy it again. However, it has a nice consistency, funky packaging and cleans well so all is not lost.
Radox Fresh and Fruity Berry Burst Shower Gel Being a bit of a fan of smelly fruity, I have to admit I got a bit excited when I saw this in my local poundland - I'd been eyeing these up in Boots for £1.99 each so was a little bit chuffed when I got it for half price... As with most Radox products it smells fantastic - the bottle depicts strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries... Personally I can smell the raspberries strongest - although I have to admit these are one of my favourite scents so this may be why. The product itself is a lovely creamy white colour - no doubt put there by the milk the product contains. The scent does linger a while, although it is not overpowering and does not interfere with any perfumes you may choose to wear. The consistency is nice and thick, and works well smoothed either directly on the skin or on a shower 'pouffe'. Like other Radox products this comes in a bottle that stands on it's head making it easy to get out of the bottle, and it has a simple flip top lid to it. The bottle isn't see through so towards the end of the bottle it can be a little difficult to know how much longer it may last. I also feel the lack of hook to hang it, and lack of grips on the side of the bottle can make it a little difficult to use in the shower when wet (however I have been having issues with the grip in my right hand recently so this probably added to this issue for me). Generally I have to admit to being a fan of this range - the cherry version is also beautiful smelling - although it is not in the dooyoo catalogue so I haven't reviewed it separately... It left my skin feeling fresh, and moisturised. It was a real pleasure to use. I had no issues with it leaving my skin feeling tight or dry at all. Highly recommended to all...
I love fruity flavoured beauty products and keep buying more. I can't help it as when I smell them they are so appealing so I end up buying them. This one is one of my favourites. I really like Radox products, I have a lot of their bubble baths and shower gels. This one my daughter bought me a while ago. It was the first shower gel of Radox that I'd tried and I was very impressed by it. It comes in a very bright pink bottle which does stand out on the shelf! It is definitely aimed towards women with being fruity and bright pink. It stands up on the cap so that the gel is easy to get out. It has a flip top lid which makes it easy to open and close, sometimes it is a little stiff but usually I can open it no problems whilst showering. The gel is not too thick, it's not runny but it isn't so thick that it is clumpy instead it is a good consistency which makes it easy to apply to skin. It lathers up well so a little bit will go a long way and it feels nice against skin. The smell is very fruity, it reminds me of a summer pudding! It's bursting with berries and it's very sweet but not sickly. This smell does linger and I don't mind that it's nice. I always feel nice and fresh after using this and as though my skin is well cleaned. I really like it and if I see it in the shops I will be buying more.
~~~~~~~~~~ Something new ~~~~~~~~~~ I love trying out new shower gels, so I was pleased to discover this new product from Radox in Wilkinsons recently, priced at under £1. Other variants in the range included cherry (which I also purchased!) and coconut. But this review is for the Fresh and Fruity Berry Burst version. In Boots currently this costs 99p (but is usually £1.99). According to Radox, this contains a "delectable blend of natural ingredients, like creamy milk and sumptuous berries". It is said to leave you fresh and smelling gorgeous! The packaging is just like other Radox shower gels, except that the colour is bright pink and not see-through. It is very eye-catching packaging and also quite feminine I think. ~~~~~~~ A bit tarty! ~~~~~~~ Despite the bright packaging, the shower cream inside the bottle is white and very rich and creamy. The smell hits you instantly and it's very sweet. I usually love sweet and fruity scents but I must admit that this is perhaps a bit too full on - I would say it is quite tart and verges on sickly! However, as soon as you start applying this the scent mellow and it becomes much more pleasant. It's also really rich and lathers up beautifully, making it a pleasure to apply to the skin. It feels like it's really moisturising the skin whilst cleansing it. And after washing this off, my skin felt really smooth, and the smell lingered very nicely. I also felt that a little went a long way so I think even though this is really cheap, it will also last a long time. ~~~~~~~~ In summary ~~~~~~~~ I really enjoy using this shower gel as I love the rich, creamy texture. It leaves the skin feeling really soft and smooth, and even after drying off my skin feels moisturised. My only slight reservation is that the scent is a little unpleasant when you first dispense this, which does put me off it a little bit - even though the smell does mellow once you apply it.
I'm rather addicted to toiletries and my husband is always making fun of me as I have a huge stock pile of products, which I purchase when I see them on special offer. Despite making many promises to myself that I will not buy any more until I've used all of my bottles and tubs, I frequently weaken where I will buy something that captures my eager eye. Whilst shopping on Boots website some time ago, I was intrigued to discover that Radox had introduced a new shower cream named Berry Burst and of course, me being me, I simply had to place it into my basket and try it out. It is very rare that I will make a purchase of a bathing product without initially taking a sniff, but it was the uplifting Berry Burst name in addition to the vibrant cerise coloured bottle that stood out from the other showering products contained on the Boots website pages. As soon as I received my order I flipped open the lid contained on the lower side of the 250 ml bottle to take a whiff of the contents and was more than satisfied with my choice, as initial impressions were that it would live up to its Berry Burst name although the real test was actually trying it out in the shower. As previously mentioned, the bottle contains a flip top lid and this is easily opened and securely closed. Unfortunately, the shower cream dispensed a little too quickly for my liking, which resulted in a little waste when I clipped the lid close, as a small amount seeped out of the side. This occurred each time I used the bottle, particularly as the bottle is stored on its base, so it was a case of storing the bottle upside down to prevent this. I would have preferred the lid to have been contained on the upper side, which is generally the case with showering products. As the white coloured product is described as a cream and gives a creamy appearance, I was a little disappointed with its consistency, which was a little less thick than other shower creams I have. However, pushing my negativity to the side, I proceeded to use a small amount of product, which I had dispensed onto my net shower puff. I would advise that I do not use bath sponges, as I cannot bear the yucky texture that builds up in the centre after a couple of weeks of use whereas shower puffs remain clean and fresh. Shower puffs enable my bathing products to last much longer, as they create a plentiful lather despite the fact that I had used only a small amount of the cream and Berry Burst did not disappoint with its soft and fluffy white lather, which offered a rich and creamy consistency. I found that one application was sufficient for my entire body and I loved the fact that the uplifting and very refreshing fruity aroma of berries significantly intensified during use. In fact, the aroma of the very authentic berries, which is due to the natural fruit juice ingredients, filled the bathroom and began to filter out into the hallway and into the bedrooms. The combination of berries, which unfortunately are not listed on the packaging, offer a refreshing and uplifting sharpness with the added milk content providing a delicate and favourable creaminess. Whilst we are not provided with details of the berry juices that have been used to create the delightful fragrance, there are images of raspberries, strawberries and blackcurrants on the front of the bottle although they are difficult to specifically identify in the overall fragrance. The shower cream enabled me to effectively wash my body and it was easily rinsed away whilst leaving its delightful fruity aroma lingering on my skin for several hours after use. I often find that some brands of shower gels and creams can be a little drying on the skin causing it to feel a little tight and itchy. However, whilst this shower cream is highly effective, I found it very gentle and caring on my normal skin type. This is a gorgeous shower cream and even my husband commented when he used it, which I can assure you is a rarity, as normal he says absolutely nothing! I would have awarded it five stars, but have had to remove one due to the consistency not being as thick as I had hoped and the leaking lid. The shower cream normally retails at £1.99 per bottle, but at the time of writing you can purchase it from Boots for just 99p.
