For a long time now my obsession has been with coconut, I use coconut shampoo and conditioner, coconut hair mask, pure unrefined coconut, coconut soap, coconut hand cream and coconut body lotion. Also I have bought a lot of boots own products as I can't really afford to buy premium products; Ive bought: their face moisturiser spf 15, their wax strips, eye make up remover and their cold cream. So practically all of my beauty products are coconut, that's the main reason why I opted for the boots coconut and almond bath cream. Product: The product is a thick runny white mixture that smells beautiful and the main smell is coconut but you can tell that there is a hint of almond to it which I love. It currently retails at £1:35 in boots store for a 500ml bottle which still hasn't run out for me and I bought it in November yes!! It is contained in a plastic bottle which is pretty basic but that's fine with me as the inside mixture makes up for it. With this product you don't need that much as a little goes a long way, I just poured a little bit under a hot running tap and then that's enough for the whole bath to be full of bubbles which is brilliant. When I got into the bath I was surprised at how strong the coconut smell was but it wasn't overwhelming it was just enough to make me relax. After my bath the coconut smell was still briefly there which I was shocked with as usually when I use shower gel the smell just goes after I get out of the shower but not with this and as It claimed my skin felt very moisturised, clean and soft after. Conclusion: To be honest I couldn't recommend this product more, as I'm not on an amazing salary I can't afford to splash out on premium brands so for me this is ideal. This was exactly what I was looking for and I'll be buying this again and again. For the price it is affordable to give it a chance so I would thoroughly recommend it for anyone.
My love of Lush has led me to a love of relaxing baths in general, and I've been looking around for cheaper alternatives to Lush's bubble bars, melts and ballistics. While wandering round Boots one day, I found a bottle of this Coconut and Almond Bath Cream. I've been going through a bit of a coconut phase recently, and as this product was priced at only £1.35 per 500ml bottle I thought it was a bargain too good to resist. The bath cream comes in a clear plastic bottle with a screw top. For the environmentally conscious amongst you, the bottle is made with recycled materials and recycling instructions are also given. Inside the bottle, the cream is off-white in colour and it's easy to see how much you have left. The white label with a picture of a coconut half and an almond is simple but attractive and looks nice on your bathroom shelf. Made with extracts of coconut and almond, the bath cream is designed to moisturise and hydrate, easing away tension and leaving your skin soft and smooth. To use, simply pour under running water. I found that I needed to use quite a lot of this bath cream at once: I estimate it would last around 5 or 6 baths unless you were very frugal. However this still works out at around 30p per bath so hardly worth complaining about! When I poured the cream into the bath, it dispersed turning the water a very pale cloudy white - this was very subtle. There were also a few bubbles - this surprised me as the description of the bath cream had led me to believe there wouldn't be any bubbles. They were nothing like you would get with a Lush bath, but they were pleasant nevertheless. The coconut, slightly nutty scent lasted for the duration of my bath although it wasn't strong. The water felt soft too and the product did not irritate my skin. I enjoyed using this bath cream - it created a relaxing and pleasant bath each time. The bubbles also lasted for as long as my bath did, around half an hour on average. Unfortunately, my skin didn't feel particularly moisturised after my bath (although it didn't actively dry out my skin) and I had to apply a body lotion. In addition, the smell didn't really last on my skin. I was disappointed that this bath cream didn't actively moisturise my skin and that the smell didn't last. However, I would consider buying it again, as it was incredibly cheap and does provide a pleasant bathing experience. It's nowhere near as good as bath products from Lush, but it's certainly a lot cheaper!
Many of you will know from reading my previous reviews that I love a bubble bath! I adore the lush range of products but have been trying not to buy them because I am hoping that I may get some treats for my birthday in April so until then I need some alternative products to use at bath time. I do like to buy bath products that will be suitable for use by my son as well as he has inherited his mummies love of bubbles in the bath! One of my buys a couple of months ago was the boots coconut and almond bath cream. I love coconut scented products as a rule and so I felt this would be a good buy and at just £1.35 for a 500ml bottle I felt the price wasn't too bad either. The bath cream comes in a clear plastic bottle which is made using recycled products and may also be recycled once empty. The product has a white label on showing a half coconut opened and resting on an almond. We have the product name on the front of the bottle and we are also told that the product is moisturising and hydrating. The whole packaging looks pretty basic and minimal but I don't mind this from a product such as this one which is a decent price and simply going to poured into my bath. To use the product, as like any bath cream, you should pour some of the product under warm running water. I find that a generous blob is sufficient for my bath time and it will fill my bath with plenty of lovely soft bubbles. The smell in the bathroom as the bath is running with this product in the water is lovely and you can really detect a sweet coconut smell though I cannot smell the almond at all. However, I find that when I get in the bath although there are plenty of bubbles you cannot really smell the coconut much anymore which is a slight disappointment but I guess this is coming from the girl who likes to use lush and soap and glory products which are obviously more expensive and seem to be of higher quality. The product is supposed to be moisturising and hydrating for the skin and I can't say that I notice my skin being any softer than before the bath when I use this product alone and so I cannot really believe that claim. Despite a couple of issues with this bath cream it does the job that I thought and hoped it would in that it creates masses of bubbles in my bath and thus makes me feel more relaxed as I find nothing more relaxing than shutting off the world and getting in a bath with lots of bubbles. For the price of the product I cannot grumble at all and I have been using this product intermittently for a couple of months and there is still some bath cream left so it does last well. I would buy this again when I was looking for an every day kind of bath cream. Thank you for reading my review!
