This winnie the pooh activity table was yet another one of my daughters first Christmas presents. It is recommended from 9+ months, my daughter was 8 months and only just learning how to sit so very very wobbly. This wasn't an issue though as you don't have to sue it as a table and it can be placed on the floor without the legs attached. She has had ours of fun with this toy and still loves it now.
The activity table features all the usual winnie the pooh character, pooh, eeyore, tigger and piglet. It has a mirror in the centre which has always puzzled me because it faces directly upwards so baby can't see into it. Recently however I have put the legs on to the table and it makes sense now as the table is very low for baby to lean on for support and they hover directly above the mirror. Around this mirror 5 button which light up and play tunes. There are four other large buttons on the table for baby to press along with a bumble bee that opens and closes. There is also a roller and all the winnie the pooh characters do a different action. Amelia's favourite is the tigger that you can pull up and down.
As mentioned previously this table can be used with or without the legs. Attaching the legs is very simple there are no screws, they just clip into place. While the table is very sturdy there is a major design flaw with it. The legs are made of smooth plastic so it slips easily. We have carpet in our living room and it slides all over the room. Obviously this isn't good for a baby who can't stand by themselves steadily. As this toy is recommended for 9+ months I think this is a major problem.
All in all I do think this is a great activity table, Amelia has already had hours of enjoyment for it and it is hardwearing and durable. It is also educational and teaches the alphabet as well as numbers. Unfortunately I can only give it 3 stars as I believe due to the legs it is not appropriate for the recommended age and could potentially be dangerous. Use with caution.
This is another of the Winnie the Pooh items my son recieved for his first Christmas. I think I bought it from a Littlewoods Clearance store for about £12. But it may have been a different discount store. I know I didn't pay much for it anyway.
I had wanted a v-tech table and when I saw this version it was a definate must buy for me.
It is very bright and colourful and simply adorable.
The legs are removable so it can be used as a table or directly on the floor, at first we used it on the floor as my soon wasn't quite walking yet and his little legs would go wobbly when standing by it for so long!!
It has loads of great features and it's musical too. The 5 buttons around the central mirror light up and say letters/numbers etc.
It has lots of other little gadgets attatched and tigger acts as a teething ring too.
I can't remember what everything does, but it does do a lot.
I was very pleased with this purchase and although he doesn't use it anymore I know it is still fine and working as it is in the shed and when my son gets his bike off he usually sets this off too!
Overall a great educational fun table. And it looks just like the picture above.
This helps my son with his balance too as he used to like to stand by the table to press the various buttons.
We just bought this Winnie The Pooh activity table by V Tech for our daughter for her first birthday. It was a terrific find, she adores it, and it has been well worth the money.
Not only is the table the perfect height - she can reach everything on the table without any problems- but it alos has so many different activites to keep her amused.
Winnie the Pooh is sat on a 'joystick' when the joystick is pulled, the music slows down, and if you jiggle it quickly, the music speeds up. All the other WTP characters have their own little activities, and when their activity is used, it interacts with what Winnie the Pooh is saying. There is a big mirror in the centre of the table, which is surrounded by 4 big buttons that help teach the alphabet and learn songs as well as flashing brightly coloured lights.
It was easy to assemble, and is simple for my 12 month old to use and keeps her entertained, its a great buy!
Play and interact with Pooh and friends and learn different shapes, colours and numbers with music and lights.
