I bought the VTech grow and go ride on for my daughter when she was only a few months old, I know she was a bit too young for it when I purchases it but the music used to catch her attention.
I like the way the driver panel can be removed from the bike this allows a young child to play with the buttons and steering wheel when they play on the floor. This can be used as a rocker or a ride on by flipping the wheels over the other way. The driver panel not only plays melodies but teaches your child the alphabet, numbers, colours and shapes. On the driver panel there is a LCD screen which displays the letter of the alphabet or the number when it says the letter or number.
There is also a driving setting that teaches the child their left and right and also to go forward and backwards. The bike has big wide wheels which makes it easy for your child to ride on it.
The colours on the VTech grow and go ride are really nice and bright colours, I think this makes it look more attractive to children.
It was a great buy and at a really good price, it has been used for the last 20 months and still looks brand new.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get a ride on for their child.
My son got this Ride on for his first Christmas when he was 8months old. My mom wanted to buy him a rocker and saw that this one grows as he grows so decided this was the one he would have. With him being mad on cars it seemed like the perfect toy. it has 3 different play modes, a detachable steering wheel/car driver, a rocker and a ride on.
Detachable Steering Wheel:
A child can start playing with the detachable steering wheel from 6months old. This has 3 different settings, songs, driving and ABC. If you have the songs setting on it and press any of the buttons, move the steering wheel or change gears it will sing a different song. In the driving mode it acts as a replica car where baby can drive to the beach or park, speed up, slow down, indicate and press the horn. In the ABC setting it will sing the ABC's as baby turns the steering wheel.
The Rocker I think is from 12months+. You can attach the steering wheel on the rocker at this point and baby can rock and play at the same time. To make it in to the Rocker all you have to do is loosen the yellow bar that holds the two wheels and spin it around. This is easy to do and requires no tools. the baby then just has to sit and rock, you can also leave the steering wheel off as there are handle bars that baby could hold on to if they arent too sure at first.
It is easy to change the Rocker in to the Ride setting, you just have to again loosen the yellow bar and turn the wheels around the opposite way and as with the rocker you can either have the steering wheel attached or use the handle bars instead.
My sons prefers this ride on to any of the others he has (he has 3!). He can climb on all by himself at just 14months as it is quite low. He likes it to be on the Ride On with the steering wheel attached and set to songs. He got bored with the Rocker bit quite early on but I think that is because it doesnt rock enough for him, it is quite small movement and if it is a rocker you are after there are cheaper and better ones out there. This comes in lovely colours and is easy to assemble with minimum tools required - I actually set this up myself it is that easy! It is also easy for baby to turn the key on the steering wheel so start the music and changing the settings is something they can do quite easily. All in all it is very baby friendly, colourful, vibrant and the music/noises it makes arent too annoying! A worthy buy, easy to clean and good value for money.
This is a fab toy for both boys and girls from six months plus. You can have this as a rocker or a ride on. It's simple to change it from a rocker to a ride on and vice versa, there is a big green type screw which you undo by hand and just flip the yellow bottom arches and do the screw back up. The driving panel with the steering wheel also comes off to reveal handle bars but my Daughter keeps it on even when it is on ride on mode!
This is really well designed, robust, colourful and long lasting. The front panel has a moving steering wheel, horn, indicators, LED display and more. There is different modes you can choose from like the alphabet and songs. It has a mans voice who isn't annoying and says thing like, 'beep beep', 'outta the way', 'turn to the left'. He sings nice songs and rhymes. The alphabet is nicely sung in a way that children could copy it and the alphabet shows up on the screen.
Electronic driver panel detaches for floor-play fun and is packed with realistic features such as a turning steering wheel, beeping horn, indicators and in-car phone! LED display on this baby development toy flashes up letters, numbers and animations to reinforce learning. Teaches the alphabet, colours, shapes, numbers with fun phrases, silly sound effects and melodies through 4 modes of play!
