My little girls godmother gave us this little trolley as my little one had just learnt to walk and wanted something to push around but wasn't interested in her little walker i had already bought her. This proved to be much better, instead of been used as a shopping trolley it was turned into a pram for dolly and she looked very comfy with her blankie too. The trolley is made from very strong plastic and i mean strong. its had my 2 year old sat in it at times as kids do and still its going strong. Its bright and colorful which makes such a difference with toys like this as its more attractive to a child if it looks fun then they want it! I think there only around £10 to buy maybe less i dont know as it was bought as a gift so there a cheap toy too but last ages, ours is now outside with the side and trampoline for sunny days fun. All in all a good toy, id say it would be suitable from around 16/18 months upwards depening on how tall/stable your little one is at walking and will last unlike similar items on the market.
After having endless tantrums in the supermarket, I decided something had to be done, we tried the help mum shopping lists, and put the objects in the trolley nothing worked, and i was at my wits end almost dreading the journey. When in mothercare i come across this little trolley, I think it was on sale but it was only £5 so I had nothing really to lose. The trolley is for 2 years + but i feel it could be from 18months. It has a blue basket with lets shop on the side, the base is green and and has red wheels. It is a nice height for the children and is quite sturdy. My shopping trips have now got alot easier, I find this shopping trolley perfect for little boys as they always want to push their sisters prams (and my other half believes prams are for little girls) so this was a great purchase. My son now not only uses it for shopping but helping to put the washing in the trolley and bring it out to mum to hang on the line, and for pushing all his toys up to his grans house. I also find this makes it easier walking with my son as he has something he has to look after so does not want to do a runner on me. Advantages all round.
we got this trolly free with our smoby kitchen a few christmases ago, it is a great toy, made of plastic, very light and you can fit lots of things into the trolley. My daughters loved to push this trolly around, pretending they were going shopping and it went well with the kitchen and food set i had brought for them. You can take this trolly apart for storage but i wouldnt recomend doing this too frequently as the clips that hold the blue top to the green base are only made of plastic and do break very easily. Although this trolly was a lot of fun unfortunatley it didnt stand the test of time in our house it just wasnt strong enough. You can buy these trollys seperate to the kitchens as i have seen them in toysrus and mothercare but have never bothered to get another one as our shop also came with a trolly that is slightly stronger and has just about survived so far. This trolly is a great toy for a child who isnt like mine, a whirling derbish, my mother in law says she is the tazmanian devil as with in 2 minutes of being somewhere there is utter devistation and chaos
My little boy Harry has been dragged around the shops with me since he was about 3 weeks old. Consequently, he rather loves sitting in the big supermarket trolley being Daddy's trolley helper when we do our weekly shop. So when it came to thinking of things for Father Christmas to bring Harry, we couldn't quite resist buying him this little trolley! The trolley is made the company Smoby, who produce a large range of children's toys, available in toy shops and all across the internet. The trolley comes in the colours of light blue and a lime green, with fetching red wheels. The wheels are held on by plastic screws which are nice and sturdy and rotate smoothly, and squeak free! It also has a sticker on the side of the basket which reads "Let's Shop" in case us mummies and daddies forget what it's for! It is made of sturdy plastic, which is lovely and light for Harry to push and around and occasionally pick up to show us how strong he is! You might think it isn't easy to transport the trolley, especially if you have a small car and it's full up with lots of things, or you don't have much storage space. Well, it actually is. The basket actually lifts off of the base frame with a sharp tug, and then turns upside down so the frame sits inside the basket with the wheels sticking up. This reduces its size by about 50%, handy for storing it away in a cupboard or in your car boot. To put back together, just line up the pegs on the base frame and the holes in the basket and push together until there is a loud click. Easy peasy! The basket capacity is a good size, Harry is able to stuff in 3 or 4 large sized toys to push around so there is a good enough space for your child to be able to put their treasured possessions. The handle height is a good size for 2 year old as well, it is roughly just at Harry's chest so he has a good area for gripping and he isn't struggling to push the trolley around either, which is a good thing. We got our trolley from Mothercare, for the bargain price of £5.99. You can also buy it from the Mothercare website if your local store does not stock, although you have to pay a delivery charge of £4.95. It is advertised as being suitable for children aged over 2 years, but Harry is 21 months and fine with it, and I would have been happy letting him play with this once he was walking steadily at about 14 months. It is worth noting that the trolley could be quite easy to tip over, so don't let your child fill it with objects that are too heavy as it could cause them an injury. However, you will be amazed at how many soft toys your child can squish in here, Harry tries to fill with as many of his precious belongings as possible before trying to empty them again! See what fun and games a mere £5.99 can provide?! To buy the trolley, visit Mothercare's site; www.mothercare.com Thank you for reading!
