      An item I wish I hadn't purchased.

When we bought our Silvercross Linear Freeway pram I went a bit mad on getting accessories. The Silvercross Twirly travel toy is designed to look around the arm of the car seat or around the cot. I bought this as I thought it would be handy for keeping baby entertained whilst I was driving from a2b however looking back I don't think this item was a necessary purchase as we barely use this item now. The Silvercross Twirly Travel Toy consists of a padded velour twirl which can be wrapped around a car seat handle, cot bar or even a pushchair. At each end there are two orange flowers and leaves decorate the top of the twirl. 3 removable toys hang down from the twirl, Harlow the Hedgehog, Bertha bird and Rufus Rabbit. This is an addition to the Homegrown range created by silvercross and what is nice about the toys is that they are made to a high standard. The touch element is great in this toy as they all contain different textures and noises and there are also different noises to help baby develop skills at an early age. I purchased this for £15 and the purpose I purchased this item for was to use on the car seat but the Silver Cross Ventura car seat that I have when in use in the car the handle in which the toy is to loop around has to be fixed at the back of the seat so the toy does not hang down for baby to play with and in my opinion defeats the object. We tend to use the item more when we use the car seat on the pram chassis whilst on short journeys. I was attracted to the Silvercross homegrown range as it differed from most toys for newborns in that it was not all pastel colours and it tied in very well with our pistachio colour pram. Our little boy does not show much interest in this toy and we don't tend to use it all that much, although it is handy to take with you on short trips or visits to keep the baby entertained whilst sat in the car seat. As for using this with the pram this just wasn't possible as the only place to wrap the toy around was the handlebar which was just too far away for baby to reach.
