I purchased this toy for my daughters first birthday after reading lots of great reviews and recommendations. It turned out to be one of the most popular toys we have ever chosen for our children. My son was 3 when we bought it and he loved it too.
The ball popper is a system which sucks plastic balls through a tube and pops them out of the top. They then land on a twirly slide where they roll down to join the queue to start again. Sometimes they come out faster and miss the slide sending them rolling across the room. Each cycle is activated by pushing a big red button which also causes the music to start.
Positives: this toy is so much fun! The colours are bright and the music is very cheerful. It encouraged my daughter to crawl around the room collecting the balls as they shot out and helped her practise feeding them back in. The big button is easy to press and I would say this toy is best suited to 1-3 year olds. It can be played alone which is always an advantage.
Negatives: the music is very annoying and quite loud (cannot be turned down). The only other negative is that it requires batteries and I find that I have to replace them quite regularly.
Price: this toy usually costs between £25-30.
Summary: when children come over to play this is always the first toy they go to. It is fun and exciting for them and well worth buying. Highly recommended.
We bought this for my 1yr olds birthday. We were hoping it would hold her attention and maybe encourage her to be a little more active.
This toy required 4 x D battery's which do not come included, it is bright and colorful and includes 5 balls. The toy is air powered, there is and on of switch on the back which is handy, i particularly like the fact you can turn in on but it doesn't continuously go, to get it to work you push a big orange button (the smiley face you can see in the picture) nice and easy for little ones to get the hang of, it plays a tune, pops the balls out of the top, some over shoot, some land in the track, iv found it all depends on how 'new' your batteries are as to how high it pops the balls out. The balls go down the track and back through the machine to get 'popped' out again. Once that particular tune has finished it stops until the button is pressed again.
This toy has done well at entertaining my 1yr old and also keeps my 3yr old amused for quite a while aswell, they race to fetch the balls that land on the carpet to put them back onto the track, the whole time its being played with they are in fits of giggles. Well worth the money!
It is well built and very sturdy definitely a toy built to last, the battery's also last very well in it unlike a lot of other children's toys that drain battery's very quickly. The only complaint i have is replacement balls seem very hard to come by. At one point we only had 2 of the 5 balls, after a lot of searching and a few emails with no reply's i gave up, luckily we eventually found the missing balls and we now have all 5 again!
Drop a ball though the shoot and they pop out all over again. This air-powered toy includes 5 balls and has fun music and sound effects. To be used under the direct supervision of an adult. General information: Batteries required: 4 x D (not included). For ages 9 months and over.
