      A well priced rattle

One gift that my baby daughter received after she was born was this Bright Starts Rattle and Spin toy, which currently retails at £2.99 on amazon. She is now two months old and although she cannot, as yet, hold this item herself, she is fascinated by it, which I was actually surprised at since she is still so small. This toy, apart from being a rattle has other uses as well, and will make an excellent teether for my daughter when she reaches that stage as well since there are several different textures used on the toy. As you can see from the photograph above this is a bright colourful toy, that has three different coloured shaped rings around the oval handle. The handle looks just the right size to allow baby's to grab onto. There is also the spin element of this rattle and it has an oval clear cage with some little coloured balls that create the noise which holds the attention of my daughter as well as the colours. At present, I actually keep this rattle on my changing table and use it when I am changing my baby's nappy. On the occasions that she is unsettled whilst getting changed, my husband or I usually rattle this toy for her and she is mesmerised by it and settles (until we stop rattling it!). Since she has got her full eyesight, she quite obviously enjoys looking at the colours as well as listening to the sound that it makes. I think this is a great developmental toy, that will be of use as my daughter goes through important stages, for example when she can grab hold of things herself and when she is teething, and so for the excellent value that this toy offers, you should get many months of use. It is already a favourite of my daughters and she is only two months, and I am confident that it will continue to be one that she will reach for!
