“ Brand: Fisher Price / Age: Newborn „
Now I would personally say that every child should have a night light when they are young to help them settle when they go to bed. My son had one when he was little that I loved but when it came to having my daughter I had broken it and had to invest in a new one. I had asked my mother in law to see if she could get the same one that I had had for him but unfortunatley she couldn't get one.
So for christmas 3 years ago she came back with this one and it is wonderful although it is very big and can not be attached to the cot so you will have to have a table to put it on or it will have to be placed on the floor.
This cost £15 at the time from boots and was the new light that was out at the time. I have noticed that it has gone up in price since we had it so it must mean that it is a good as I think it is.
It has a flat white base that allows it to stand alone and a curcular blue music part that has a large yellow star on the front that has a face on it. The blue curcle moves side to side so that you can position the light to different sides of the room. You have 4 different buttons on the front of the light 3 stars which are the different sounds, one is classical, one is nature and the other is lulaby which the classical and lulaby seem to sound the same to me and the other is a timing button that you can adjust for 5 minuites, 10 minuites and 15 minuites which means the music will play for that amount of time. The handle on the top is able to be pushed back or forward so that the light can be seen if you have the light option on and is a green design that is embossed. The top is a clear dark plastic that has 3 different colours of light one is yellow, the other is red and the last one is blue. Between the light and the piece of plastic there is a gap where you can put the light designs into. You have 3 different plates with designs on that can be slipped inside all of the plates have different designs, these plates are also numbered 1, 2 and 3. These are numbered because they are meant to be for different ages of the child. I put the oldest age in and have never changed it. If they are put in the wrong way round which my daughter did do once it will get stuck but you can prise it out very carefully.
On the sides there are two red buttons. One side is a volume button that you can have level 1 or level 2, I have mine on level one so that it makes it more relaxing. On the other side their is a range of different options you can have music only, music and light or light on its own on this side is the option to switch it off too. I have mine set to music and light.
I have noticed lately because my daughter is playing in her room alot now being 2 she likes to carry it around with her and puts the music on when she is playing. I like this alot because their is alot of choice that one option will be able to suit any child, the different designs are lovely too and the music is very soothing. The only thing that I am not keen on is that it does not attach to the cot so ours was on the floor in our bedroom until we moved house and is now on a set of draws in her room.
This has also been bashed about alot and has not broken or chipped so it is very hard wearing. It takes 2 c size batteries and I have only had to change these 3 times in 2 and 1/2 years so it couldn't be more of a brilliant investment.
This soothing lullaby and projector is suitable from birth +
The case is made of plastic so is easy to keep clean there is a yellow star design with a lot of vibrant colours to make it stand out there is a handle to the top making it easily portable, fantastic for days out or overnight stays.
You can choose from 2 different settings, light display, music or light and music.
There are 3 different projection slides that are suitable for different ages ranging from big easy to identify images to cars. There are 3 music settings to choose from lullaby, classical and nature sounds. My favourite by far is the nature sounds as they are calm and soothing for baby. The light projector is great for entertaining baby at night time when it's time to settle down. The soothing music helps ease baby into a relaxed sleep, there are two sound volume settings quite and loud. The batteries seem to last a long time only having to change them once since it was bought 3 months ago. Great value for money as it will last them for a good couple of years.
I think this light soother is fantastic. I realised my daughter, who was 7 weeks old, was interested in lights and was looking for something to project on the ceiling. I couldn't find anything for ages until I came across this product which was perfect.
There are 3 different slides for different age groups starting from newborn. There are 3 settings just lights, lights and music or just music-fantastic for every situation! I use the lights only setting at night so I don't wake my partner and she loves it, sometimes if the lights go off before she has gone to sleep she will kick her legs so I put it back on again.
I have also found her staring at the actual star on the front of the projector so even that keeps her amused.
The different sounds are good although the nature sounds are a little annoying.
The design is good quality, easy to use and portable.
I would recommend this product to all with babies.
