Well johnsons is a well used and trusted brand by a lot of mums, i have used this from day one with my little girl even though my health visitor told me not to use this as it does nothing and oilatum is a much better product i decided to try them both. the oilatum is very good when your little one as dry skin but they both do more or less the same job. I my self use this johnsons on my self as well as my little girl. It smells great keeps skin soft and baby seems to enjoy gettin massaged with this after her bath. The price is usually around £2.99 but it does last a long time as the smallist bit spreads along way meaning you use less. It also leaves skin feeling non greasy once applied and is gentle and mild, with a light fragrance that is not to over powering, It is Hypoallergenic, allergy and dermatologist tested so it is perfect for the senstive new skin of little babies When you think baby lotion most people immediatley think johnsons it has been used for years by mums and probably will be for a long long time.
Johnson's baby lotion is another well used toiletrie in our house, with a toddler and a young baby it has proved very useful. The 300ml bottle can be purchased from many places including Asda, Boots, Superdrug and Tesco, prices vary between £1.99 and £2.99. The lotion comes in a baby pink bottle with a pink flip up lid, there is a small hole in the lid to pour the lotion out of which makes it very easy to get the correct amount you need on cotton wool or your hand without any spillages. The signature Johnson's logo is clearly displayed on the front with the words, 'the original babysoftness' and 'clinically proven mildness'. The lotion is hypoallergenic and it's function is to moisturise and cleanse baby's skin. To use, the lotion can be gently smoothed over baby's whole body to moisturise or to cleanse it can be applied with cotton wool. I absolutely love this stuff. The lotion carries the lovely baby fresh smell which is unmistakeable for the majority of Johnson's products. I use this often on both my son and daughter's skin in between baths to give a quick clean and particularly to avoid any grime build up under my son's neck from milk when he's being fed. I've never had any issues with either of them in terms of reactions and their skin always feels soft and clean afterwards. The texture of the lotion is also smooth so it can be spread onto their skin easily and with little pressure to rub it in which is very important to me as not to bother my 10 week old too much. This product deserves 5 out of 5 and is a must in any changing box or bag. Having a bottle of this in the house reassures me that both my kids can have a quick clean up in between their bathtime and be left with lovely clean and soft skin. Highly recommended.
When it comes to baby lotion and bath products for our daughter, I look no further than Johnson's. They are a brand that has been around for years and produce quality products. In particular I am very fond of their baby lotion. Although advertised to be used for babies, even adults can use it to moisturise their skin. The bottle is bright pink. It has a simple filp up cap on the top. It has the blue writing on the front 'Johnson's Baby Lotion.' The lotion itself is also pink. It is a smooth and gentle lotion. It is not too thick and is almost creamy and thin in texture. We usually buy the largest sized bottle. This is 500ml and costs around £3 in most supermarkets although prices my vary across the stores. Johnson's baby lotion also comes in a 300ml bottle which is usually sold for around £2. So in terms of value it is better to go for the larger of the bottles. We all use it in our family on dry skin. I will use it on our child after most baths. It stops the skin becoming dry. It is non-greasy so it is great to use on the face. My partner also uses it to assist in taking her make up off. Not that I pay much attention, but she generally applies the lotion to cotton pads and rubs it over her face and this removes the make up with ease. I feel that Johnson's baby lotion is a great product for all the family. It also comes at an affordable price compared to other lotions. It moisturises skin and leaves a nice fresh smell after use.
Product: Johnson's Baby Lotion Price: £2.99 From: Amazon I've been a huge fan of Johnson's Baby Lotion for as long as I can remember. I do not have any babies at the moment but I do use the lotion on myself. The packaging is simple but effective, a light pink plastic bottle with a flip top lid. The familiar Johnson's blue lettered logo along with the product description is printed on a label at the front of the bottle whilst all other relevant information is printed on a label at the back of the bottle. I paid £2.99 for a 300ml sized bottle of the lotion from Amazon. You can also buy the Body Lotion from the majority of drugstores and supermarkets, prices differ by usually a couple of pence or so depending on which store you use. You can also buy the body lotion in a range of different sizes, prices differ depending on what size you buy. Johnson's body lotion is a mild and gentle lotion designed to help soften and nourish the skin. The lotion smells of a "fresh" pleasant smell which is very refreshing and not too overpowering at all. The lotion as just the right consistency and applies effortlessly to my skin. Johnson's Baby Lotion leaves my skin feeling non-greasy, smooth, baby soft and extremely moisturised. I suffer from dry skin at times and this clears it up perfectly and sorts it out a treat. I also use this to remove my make-up, I simply apply the lotion to a cotton pad and sweep the pad over my face and it removes all traces of make-up, even waterproof make-up. Overall this is a fabulous product with a fabulous price tag, I will continue to buy this time and time again. Dooyoo Stars: 5/5
Since having my two daughters the thing I crave the most is keeping that lovely fresh baby smell and Johnson's baby lotion always keeps that smell! I have been using this on my children (& myself) ever since they were born. They are now 6 & 3 years old and I am pregnant with my 3rd and intend to use it. This is why I am in love with this lotion: ***Packaging*** Johnson's baby lotion comes in a few different sizes 300ml and a 500ml. They are in a very distinctive pink bottle with Johnson's Baby lotion written in blue. I remember my mother using this on me growing up and always having a bottle in the house and I don't think it has changed much at all in the past 20-30years. ***Cost*** You can get a 300ml which is around £2.00 and a 500ml which is around £2.50. You can buy them from most supermarkets, chemists and high street stores that sell baby products. This is a fantastic price in my opinion as it is long lasting and has so many different uses for every skin type and everybody in the family not just for babies. ***What is it used for?*** Johnson's Baby Lotion is advertised as a 'gentle and effective cleanser for your baby's skin'. The lotion is also Pink and it is fairly runny and light so glides onto the skin very easily. It doesn't stick on the skin and feel greasy and equally it doesn't lay heavy on the skin either. I have used this since newborn on my daughters as when they are first born they suffer with very dry skin on hands and ankles. I used to put on once or twice a day and also on the bum to prevent it getting sore. As they grew older I still use it after every bath. My 3 year old has always suffered with dry skin and eczema and this just takes the edge off it and stops the soreness for her. It has a lovely baby smell which, even thought my daughters are not baby's anymore it will always remind me of that little baby they once were! Another use that I use it for is to take my makeup off! I use it with cotton pads and it gets all my eye makeup off really easily and also moisturizes and cleanses my face at the same time at a fraction of the price. It is kind to any skin type as you can imagine as it is meant to be for babies so its for very sensitive skin. I also always use this lotion on my own body after a shower or bath and it always soothes from shaving my legs and keeps my skin in soft condition. I have always suffered from dry skin on my heel and I sometimes put some on my heel with a sock and leave it and by morning its lovely and soft! My husband even uses it after hes shaved his head and face to keep it going dry and scaly. **Overall** Overall I think this lotion is fantastic for any household and has many uses for all the family with different skin types at a fraction of the price of some lotions!
I have always been a big fan of Johnsons baby lotion. I used them before I had my babies on myself as someone told me it was great at removing make up and they were right. When I had children I then used it as a moisturizer for them too. The cream itself comes in a nice pink bottle with a flip top so it's easy to use. You really don't need much a little goes a long way. I just love the smell of it and the way that it is absorbed into the skin so easily. I have suffered with eczema all my life and have found that this has really helped me. I apply it to my own skin twice a day after I shower and it seems to lock in the moisture. I have done the same for my children. I still use it now on my son's skin and he is 10! (Don't tell his friends). It helps if his skin looks like it might be getting dry especially good in the winter if he has been outside playing football. When I was pregnant I also used it on my bump to prevent stretch marks. I did get a few but it seemed to keep my skin supple and moisturized so im sure I would have got loads more if it wasn't for this cream. The cream is good enough to use on even sensitive skin, I have used it on my face with cotton wool to remove make up I also used it on my eyes to get rid of eye make up and it did not irritate the skin or anything. The great thing about this cream is that it is not greasy like some of the other creams on the market. It is very reasonably priced at around £3 a bottle and it is available everywhere even supermarkets now stock it. I would definitely recommend this for all families.
I have recently moved and the other y whilst inpacking I came across this baby lotion. My best mate gave it to me a few months ago as I suffer from very dry skin. She told me to give this a try I am so glad I did! The packaging~ Comes in a pink plastic bottle with the Johnson's logo in big blue writing. The bottle I am reviewing is the 300ml size, however you can get them in the travel size too. Johnson's have been making products for over one hundred years. The lotions is mild and very gentle on even the most sensitive and can be used by both babies, children and adults. More information can be found www.babycentre.co.uk or by telephoning: 0845 602333. verdict~ I have used Johnson's baby lotion for a few purposes over the years. The lotions is pink in colour and smells very much of baby powder. I have used it to cleanse babies bottom after a nappy change to help prevent nappy rash. Simply apply to cotton wool and dry with a clean piece. This fantastic to use to remove that make up especially water based make up that is a nightmare to get off. Simply apply to cotton wool and wipe over the skin with clean cotton wool. I have mainly used it due to suffering from very dry skin on my feet; due to having a medical conditions known as Lymphodemia that causes swelling and dry skin. I wash and dry my feet first, then simply massage into the skin a day I have noticed a huge improvement, my skin is baby soft and feel full of moisture once again. Thanks Melanie for this it has really helped! A must have for the whole family to use! Available from all good chemists and super markets for around £2.00.
When you think of baby wash products you instantly think of Johnsons. I remember my mum using their products on me as a child so when I had my daughter naturally I gravitated towards Johnsons baby products. Johnsons Baby Lotion comes in a pink bottle with blue writing and Johnsons logo with a pink cap. It is available in various sizes including 300ml for £2.40 and 500ml for £2.85 prices are taken from the Boots website. It is widely available from Boots, Superdrug and other chemists and well as supermarks and other shops. Johnsons baby lotion is a gentle and mild body lotion designed help "soften and nourish" skin. It has a very mild fresh fragrance and is pink in colour. The lotion is not thick, in fact it is quite runny but is easy to control how much you are getting out on the bottle provided you are careful. It is Hypoallergenic, allergy and dermatologist tested. I love using this on my daughter- she loves having it massaged in. It always leaves her skin beautifully moisturised and with a light fragrance. Its great for when her skin gets a little bit dry or preventing dryness in the first place. I use this on her two to three times a week after her bath and before bed as she finds having it put on very relaxing. It absorbs beautfully and does not feel greasy. I would highly recommend this for baby skin.
One of my 'can't live without' products since having babies is the Johnson's pink baby lotion. I use this several times, every day for a number of things. I buy the 300ml bottles when they are offer and keep one in the baby changing bedroom and on the side in our bedroom. In use The main use I have for this lotion is for cleaning baby bottoms when changing nappies. I find the lotion is soft and gentle at removing mess, cleaning up and leaving the bottoms fresh smelling and moist, ready for the next nappy to go on. This way I am not scrubbing at the delicate skin on our children's botties and their skin is pink and beautifully soft with no sore bits or dry skin from being wet. I have also been known to use this on my skin and theirs as a moisturiser when our skin gets a bit dry. I have even used this when out and about if my daughter gets mucky or sticky hands, arms, legs and knees that are beyond the capabilities of a baby wipe to shift. It moves the muck off easily and leaves skin nicely moisturised. My thoughts I love the innocent smell of this lotion. It is subtle yet powder fresh. I did just use water on our babies when they were both newborns but I introduced this after a few months. I get through lots of this stuff but always buy it when it's on offer to get the best value for money. Compared to other brands which I have also used, I do think that the Johnson's is my favourite as it seems to be that little bit thicker than the cheaper versions. I have also had no problems with leakage when transporting a bottle of this in the change bag so that's a bonus. Packaging I find this lotion lends itself well to the flip top lid and squeeze packaging as it is thick enough to not leak out of the bottle. It is attractive in its baby pink colour and always 'speaks' to me from the shop shelves! Price I usually pay between £1-£2 for a 300ml bottle which I think is a reasonable price for such a multi tasking product. Final word We are big on this cream in our family, I've even got my husband using it on the girls during a nappy change as it makes the task so much easier. Before children I had never used baby lotion but will probably continue to use it for the rest of my life now. I really rate this highly and feel it is the best one on the market.
I buy Johnson's baby lotion, not for a baby, but for me. I used to use this lotion on my kids when they were babies as it is so gentle and cleans their skin so nicely and leaves the skin feeling nice and soft. Now I am in my 50's I still use it on my face. I usually use it of a night time. I keep a bottle of it in the drawer next to my bed along with some cotton wool pads and when I go to bed I sit and wipe my face with the lotion to get off all the grime of the day before I got to sleep. This makes my skin feel really nice and in the morning it is not too dry. I do not hardly ever get spots these days so think it is doing my skin some good. There is no need to wash this lotion off your face so its safe to sleep after using it. It is also good for taking off makeup. Even make up that says it is waterproof. I find just using a little dab of lotion on a soft piece of cotton wool will remove it easily without rubbing your skin and stretching it. It is also gentle all over the face so I even use it on my eye lids to remove eye shadow and mascara. I also find it brilliant when the kids have had their faced painted at an event as this will remove even the stubborn black paint from places like light coloured eyebrows and hair line and doesn't hurt their soft skin. When you first squeeze the lotion out it is nice and cool so if its in the middle of winter like now I like to spread it about a bit to warm it up before putting it on my face and making myself jump. But in the summer when its really hot out the cold lotion feels really nice and cool. You can buy a bottle of this containing 500ml from Boots for £2.85, and at the moment they have buy one get one free offer on so would be good to stock up.
I cannot remember a time when there hasn't been a bottle of Johnson's Baby Lotion in the bathroom cabinet. It is one of the most commonly bought body lotions, and even though it is supposed to be a 'Baby Lotion', it can be used well on adults' skin just as nicely. I find this rather more mild and 'baby-like' than other body care products, which is nice and a welcome change after all the exotic scented lotions and butters that I usually pick. Obviously, I do have a big selection of body butters and body lotions I like to use, and Johnson's Baby Lotion is something that I use from time to time, admittedly a little bit like a last resort. I have always found it very effective, however, even though it is quite a simple product- but it is said that the simplest products are the things that work the best. This body lotion is not a particularly expensive one, compared to some of the body lotions I have bought in the past; however, it is not exactly the cheapest either. From Boots, a 500ml bottle costs £2.85- this seems a little bit expensive for something as simple as Johnson's Baby Lotion, but 500ml makes for quite a large bottle which, especially if it is not something that is used daily. It is very cheap if you consider the prices of other body care companies, for example the Body Shop. This is packaged inside a pink neutral looking bottle that looks quite simple, classic and calm, and something soothing that could be used for babies' skin. The cap can be popped up very easily by hand and the lotion can be squeezed out without problems (though I find I tend to squeeze out too much), so that it can be massaged into my skin. The lotion has quite a thick (but not pasty) pink texture, which feels nice and soothing when it is massaged in. It is very good for dry and chapped skin; I like to apply this in winter especially, instead of the normal body butters I use to stop my skin from cracking and feeling so dry. It moisturises my skin very well, and makes it feel very soft, like babies' skin. It helps dry skin quite a lot and makes it feel smooth. The feel of the lotion is quite cool and relaxing to apply. The smell is nothing along the exotic and fruity scents of my normal body lotions and body butters. It is more like a soothing baby smell, which brings about a feeling of calmness and relaxation, which is nice. I cannot say that it is my favourite scent for a body care product, since it is not the most interesting of smells, but nevertheless I have to say that it is a nice, familiar smell. Overall, I think that Johnson's Baby Lotion is a very good option, since it is very good for moisturisation, does not smell bad and can be bought for quite a good price. It is not the best moisturiser I have tried, but it is a pretty good one. I would recommend this product with 5 out of 5 stars.
Although I am no longer a baby neither do I actually have a baby of my own, I still use baby Johnson's lotion nonetheless. I have gone through many different brands of lotions and spend a lot of money trying out varies other lotions but at the end of the day, nothing beats the Johnson's baby lotion. Because it is actually made for babies, it is very mild and gentle but still very moisturizing. It is not harsh on my skin and there are no side effects or any allergic reactions after I run on this lotion. Johnson's baby lotion is also reasonably priced when compared to other lotions out there in the market. It also comes with different sizes of bottles and containers allowing me to bring a travel size one for convinience. The smell of the lotion is just heavenly because it smells like baby. You would feel all fresh and rejuvenated after applying the lotion. I have been using it for quite awhile now and has yet to come up with a reason not to continue with it.
Johnson's baby lotion is one of those products you associate with newborn babies. Just flipping up the cap and taking a sniff of the cream inside the bottle fills you with feel good associations of little fingers and toes and joyful giggles. It is an absolute must for any baby's cupboard and in many ways barely needs reviewing, so well established is it in the mother and baby psyche. And yet it is probably worth looking at just how effective this baby lotion is in moisturising skin as that is what it is geared at, as well as raising a smile. The Product Johnson's baby lotion comes in a powder pink bottle. The overall effect of the packaging is simplicity as it has the Johnson's logo at the top, followed by the words 'baby lotion' in lower case underneath. In the centre of the front label is a clinically proven mildness emblem with the words 'rediscover baby softness' underneath, followed by the Johnson and Johnson brand name at the very bottom. If you turn the bottle around there is further information about the product. The slant taken in the blurb on the back is encouraging the user to rediscover this baby lotion which has been used by mothers both on their baby's and their own skin for generations. It continues 'the creamy formula has our unmistakable baby fresh smell and is clinically proven mild for moisturising and cleansing baby's delicate skin." This bottle also includes the "original Johnson's baby softness trusted by mums for over 100 years", it continues. To use, apply directly onto skin to perfectly moisturise or apply on cotton wool to effectively remove oily substances that water alone cannot. My experience The baby lotion, when you squeeze it out of the bottle, is creamy in consistency but just thin enough to be able to rub over your baby's skin with ease. This is what you want as you do not want to have to spend to much time rubbing the cream in as a baby can get fractious. The smell, as I have already stated, is that archetypal baby smell - a mixture of talcum powder and floral notes. It is a warm and comforting smell and I associate it with security. I guess my own mum must have used this cream on me. That is what is so nice about it, the images of all those mums over several generations who will all have been rubbing this baby lotion onto their babies and onto themselves. It is like you are part of history even using a bottle of this and I think it is important to continue this usage on as so many big brand names seem to be disappearing or being merged with others these days. Johnson's is one to protect. My daughter seems to really enjoy this cream being applied to her skin. It has quite a cooling effect and must feel nice after coming out of a warm bath. I think the smell combined with a little massage is also calming for her as she comes up to bedtime. The after effects of the cream are obviously that she smells wonderful but also her skin does always look and feel healthy and smooth. She has never had a negative reaction to this cream in way of rashes or spots in over 12 months of using it. The only thing I would point out is while this is a good day-to-day moisturiser you may find you need something with a little more intensity to help ease any really significant areas of dry skin. Recently my daughter has developed dry elbows and knees and just using Johnson's baby lotion on her skin has not been enough. We have had to top these areas up with a bit of a more heavy duty moisturiser. I have used this lotion on my own skin and I have also found very satisfactory results on just how soft and smooth it leaves my skin feeling. I have not tried using the product as a cleanser on my baby's skin as I tend to use baby wipes to clean her up if she gets particularly messy but it is good to know that facility is there should I choose to use it. My conclusion Mothers have been using Johnson's baby lotion on their baby's skin for generations and there is a reason for this. It not only moisturises but is a lovely indulgent and feel good product which actually goes as far as to help the bonding process between mother and child. Who wouldn't want to cuddle their baby close when they smell of this lotion. It is worth purchasing a bottle to keep the tradition going but keep a more intense moisturiser to hand if your child should develop any more severe patches of dry skin as Johnson's baby lotion won't help there.
~*~*~ Johnson's Baby Lotion ~*~*~ I have been a regular buyer of Johnson's Baby Lotion for many years, not only do I use it on my babies but I use it on myself too, I find it moisturises my skin perfectly and I tend to use it more before applying fake tan. With my little one I use it after every bath time. ~ Why Johnson's? ~ I have always used Johnson's baby products for my children as babies because it is a brand I trust. Not only do I trust it, it is the number one choice for hospitals and midwives, letting me know that it really is a lotion that can be trusted. Not only that but no other baby lotion has the same scrumptious baby scent like this one. ~ Packaging ~ Johnson's baby lotion comes in a pale pink plastic bottle, on the front is a sticker with the brand logo and product name, the lid on top is a simple screw top cap but it has a flip top lid with a little pouring hole underneath to allow you to gently squeeze out a little bit of the lotion. ~ My thoughts ~ I have used this for each of my children and it is the only baby lotion I buy. In the past I have tried Asda Little Angels baby lotion but I didn't get on with that one at all and quickly reverted back to Johnson's. The lotion inside the bottle is a pale pink colour and has that fabulous baby scent. The scent is so comforting and lovely. When I use this for my little one, I bath him in Johnson's Lavender baby bath and then wrap up in a cosy towel and bring him down ready for drying, pampering and dressing! I lay him on my lap and squeeze the lotion into my hand I quickly rub my hands together so the lotion isn't cold on his skin, then I rub it all over him, I massage the lotion into his skin and he happily lies there kicking away. It dries pretty quickly so as soon as I have finished I get him dressed and he just smells scrumptious all day! His skin must benefit from it as he has never once had dry skin, but when he did have a little patch of cradle cap I massaged in a little lotion and by the next day it had gone. When using it on myself I squeeze the lotion out and rub it in, paying particular attention to my knees and elbows, I then give it an hour or so just to ensure that it has soaked in and then apply my fake tan. I find that this moisturises my skin perfectly and I have never suffered with any patches in my tan. My hubby uses a little bit of this cream after shaving as he tends to get dry skin and since I told him to use this he no longer suffers with dry skin on his face. I find this a brilliant cream and it is one I will carry on using even when my little ones are grown up!
There are many baby lotions available but in my opinion Johnson's products are the best products around that are of an affordable price. I use Johnson's baby lotion almost daily with my baby. In most supermarkets a 500ml bottle costs around £2.60 and a 300ml bottle around £2.09. Over the past year I have had quite a few vouchers for Johnson's products and they are also regularly on offer in the supermarkets so it is possible to pick up a real bargain. I started using this baby lotion in January because I noticed my little boy's skin was slightly dry on his hands, feet, knees and elbows. I think this was due to the cold weather and having the heating on a lot. I wondered if I needed any special ointment to clear this up but my mother suggested a simple lotion would do the trick. After bathing my baby I started a routine of massaging the lotion into his skin. The cream smells pleasant and has a floral scent. It is the perfect consistency, not too thick or too thin and doesn't leave baby's skin or my hands too greasy so I can put his pyjamas on straight away. He actually seems to enjoy the massage and it relaxes him before bed. After following this routine for three days not only was his skin not dry anymore but it was amazingly soft. I never expected such a quick transformation but I have to say this lotion worked wonders! I usually slather him in the stuff but in two months I have only used half a 300ml bottle so this is definitely good value for money. The bottle is made from pale pink plastic and has blue writing. It has a lid attached to the bottle and you simply squirt out the amount you need. The only down side is that you can accidentally squirt out too much. The bottle states that the lotion is mild and it also says "rediscover babysoftness", which I have to say is 100% accurate. The bottle suggests use on baby or adult skin. I haven't used it myself but while massaging my baby my hands get a good covering and feel very soft afterwards so I think this would also be an ideal product for adults. The only instance I wouldn't use this product on my baby is if he developed a skin irritation or eczema. In that situation I would probably consult his doctor before deciding what to apply to his skin. In summary, Johnson's is a well established baby brand that I will always trust and the baby lotion in particular is a miracle product and very good value for money.
Fast-absorbing formula with rich emollients leaves skin feeling soft and smooth, not greasy. As the # 1 choice of hospitals and with the wonderful baby fresh scent, it could just be your best friend to help protect your baby's skin from dryness. This ultr
