What will a common consumer keep in mind while buying a speaker set for his home PC ?
I guess he will like to buy a speaker set which will change his experience of playing games, listening to music, and it should be cheap.
With this mind even I decided to buy this speaker set from Creative and to my delight all the above criteria were fulfilled. I know these criteria are very basic yet very important.
This speaker set comprises of two satellites, a bass control and a small remote control.
What I liked:
Firstly the sound quality, I must say it is crystal clear. Very sharp, crisp and clear. Every minute sound is audible.
I have never experienced any slight disturbance in sound quality.
I loved the design of satellites, compact and stylish. The satellites are also very robust, they survived so many falls.
The bass control is a rectangular box with a mesh on one side. On its back, it have a bass control knob, which allows you to adjust the bass according to your need.
I liked the idea of a remote control for a speaker, but it is wired.
What i disliked:
Wired remote control. Although it is an innovative idea but the remote attached with a wire is limiting its use.
I will definitely recommend this speaker set. Its cheap, great sound, robust and compact. Its value for money.
It definitely changes the experience of listening music, watching movies and playing games. The sound quality is great even at higher volume. I use this set even while using Skype and I must say the sound quality is good here as well.
I bought these speakers from ebay for £16 a few months ago, and have been using them daily since. It is a nice compact system and fits perfectly into my small room. They have very good clarity over the entire range although they do sometimes seem to lack something at the very high end. The bass is clear, crisp and very powerful for such a small subwoofer, unlike some other cheap 2.1 speakers which just gives you some random low-frequency rumble. Although bass distortion is noticable at very high volumes, this is rarely a problem for personal use in a bedroom, everything in my room starts shaking and vibrating before the speakers start distorting!. Basically, if you are not looking to fill a cathedral with music, then these speakers are quite simply excellent.
They do come with a wired remote but it only has a volume control on it. A Bass adjuster and headphone socket would be nice. But for £16 can I really complain!
