A great set of cut outs for children to decorate and use as stencils

Theses giant animal cut outs were something I bought for our animal mad 4 year old. He loves doing arts and crafts so I thought these would be fun for him to colour and we could put them up in his bedroom alongside some animal wall decals we have. I bought these from Yellow Moon but they are also available direct from the Baker Ross website. These were originally £3.60 but I got them for the bargain price of £1.99 which they still are. Each jungle set comes with 10 animals two each of a lion, giraffe, crocodile, camel and an elephant. They do vary slightly in size but all certainly live up to their giant name varying from around 30cms to 37cms. When my son saw theses in their pack he couldn't wait to get creative and start painting and colouring them. They are made from quite thick card which means they are great to be used for any medium and we have used a mixture of paint and pencils crayons and glitter when decorating these. Despite a lot of paint being applied at times to these cut outs they have never become damp and soggy or lost their shape. The other good thing about them being thick is that they stand up well when lent against things, which was handy both for drying them and my son putting them on display in the house once they are finished. As well as using these cut outs to decorate my son has also used them as stencils to draw around to create his own pictures with the animals and use them to fires up his imagination this way. As they are nice and thick they do make a great stencil for drawing round and are nice and easy for children to hold them to do so. Several of them are now in pride of place on his bedroom wall with things like the crocodile trying to catching a monkey as in the song and the giraffe going for a walk with the elephant. The only animal not included which my son would of liked to have seen was a monkey and I think he would of preferred a monkey to decorate compared to a camel say but this is only a minor quibble other than that we are more than happy with them and would recommend them to other young children. We are planning on trying the woodland animals soon made by the same company as we have enjoyed decorating these so much.
