This is a good effort in the genre, X-Men fans will like it

When it comes to action heroe's the big names of Batman and Superman have had to take a back seat in recent years to the X-Men, they were originally a comic book only gimmick but soon the cartoon caught on like wildfire and Hollywood came knocking. Thats where the videogame comes in, I'm not huge on X-Men but I was happy to have a game of the Gamecubes version of the movies second sequel.

It's your normal beat-em-up platform game that you usuallly get when they make games based on an action hero/heroes.

Graphics - Excellent look about this game, pretty grimey which is very atmospheric and the characters themselves look really good and very life like.

Gameplay - A little awkward to control your character and at times the aiming can be way off and some moves are harder to pull off than others.

Sound - Borrowing much of the soundtrack for the movie, this sounds pretty cool, also some nice voice acting in it too.

Overall - Well as these type of games go X-Men 3 stands up there with most of them, certainly not amazing by any means but a fun game that X-Men fans will salivate over no doubt.

Co-written by Zak Penn, the co-screenwriter of the movie X-Men: The Last Stand, and legendary comic book writer Chris Claremont, X-Men: The Official Game immerses players in an original storyline that provides the back-story for the upcoming X-Men: The Last Stand feature film. For the first time, the game enables players to truly command the powers of popular characters from the X-Men movie universe by allowing players to assume the roles of Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and Iceman as they wield and upgrade their signature powers and maneuver through unique environments designed to showcase their superhero abilities. Assisted by other X-Men characters, players will use an advanced control scheme to master and control the characters as they unleash Wolverine's combat rage, experience Nightcrawler's acrobatics and teleportation powers, and glide through the air on Iceman's ice slide.
