Fur Fighters, a game that is now available for just £7.99 from offline stores, as well as online – from such places as Special Reserve, and really is a must have title even at 3 times that price – under £10 is an absolute bargain and you really should take advantage of this incredible offer!!! So, firstly, what do the magazines say? Edge – one of the most popular all format gaming magazines rates Fur Fighters at 8/10, a very high score, they rarely give 9’s and I can’t remember when a 10 was awarded, so 8 – very good score – quote: “One of the best titles on Dreamcast”. Games-master award it 90%, saying it’s “The most satisfying gun action around... …it’s literally a blast.” Which is absolutely correct! Arcade award the highest score – on a 5 star rating they give Bizarre Creations little cracker a superb 5/5 “Fur Fighters is Fantastic”. I personally think that this is a delightful game, on of the best ones around. There’s a multiplayer mode as well as single player so even when you complete the 36 fantastically designed levels, you will still be able to play in the 2-4player modes - great fun, just like Golden Eye whereby you select a level and go around in the fluff match! Basically, this could be described “just another Golden Eye clone”, but Bizarre Creations have really gone to town with Fur Fighters. The idea – simply, one player you make your way through the 36 levels, after selecting a character from 6 funny looking animals – it’s funny and childish at first look, but you’ll soon be blasting your way through to beat the bosses at the end of the levels – 15 superb weapons will be at your disposal, you’ll have a great time utilising them I am sure! It’s a shoot ‘em up that looks all cute and cuddly, but when it gets down to it, the game is definitely right to be sui table for 11 years of age +. Graphically impressive, very well rendered 3D, with some colourful looking levels, effective scenery and characters – really well done, a graphical delight in my view! The control system is simple to get to grips with – two different views to run around shooting with, and simple jumping, moving and climbing moves (for certain characters). It’s a really great entertaining game, with a one-player mode that will take at least 30 hours to complete – a great game that I would award the full 5 stars for. Thanks for reading.

Fur Fighters, oh dear, I warn you now – my opinion may not be in the same belief as others, but it’s my opinion, so there. I don’t like this, I don’t like this for many reasons, but mainly because the game is aimed at children – the cute and cuddly Furry animals in the game, but then they go around shooting each other with plasma guns, shotguns and all sorts – it’s basically not at all for children, but at least it doesn’t have gallons of blood in the game. There are two modes, the fluff match and then the single player adventure – mission mode. You pick one of 6 characters, fur fighters suggesting that these are animals – they are; choose from a dog, cat, kangaroo type thing, penguin and more, each has a special strength like digging powers, jumping strengths or climbing, and in their mission you have to play through the great many levels. I only went half way through the game because I just didn’t like the idea of it, and beat all the bosses to rescue the little baby animals. Great, how soppy! Shoot your way through some real frustrating and boring levels, it’s not the best game I’ve played I can tell you that for sure. The multiplayer mode is ok though, it’s a bit like Quake 3, Golden Eye, games like that – a 4 player fluff match will see you and friends fighting it out with the weapons over a selected level, in order to get the most kills, aptly named ‘fluffs’. This is the only part of the game that I found remotely interesting, but I sold it because I don’t agree with the ethics of a game that appears to be aimed at children, then to find out that there’s shooting in it, I wouldn’t let my kid brother play this. 2 stars, graphics are good, sound is dull, but I don’t like this at all.

What a game, What a game, What a game! This game is a great game and one that I would recommend to anyone who wants to play a game and have fun because it is a good game that you would want to play with and the game is a game that you will like because it is a good game to lpay. Thanks for reading because it is a game that you like to play. It has a lot of things that you can do but I am not 100% sure as to what type of things because I haven't played the whole game. The other thing is really good and I would say that you should get the game for that reason and that reason only.

This is a great little number from Saga. It has good all round graphics (little Furry Animals), easy to master controls, and a great story line. You take control of a crack team or critters trying to stop the Evil General Vigo and save their families at the same time. With a vast range of hi-tech weaponry and a few tricks up your sleeve, like the way each character has a special trick, e.g. climbing, digging etc. you are well stocked for your mission. The last-ability of this game is good but this is down to good old addict-ability as once you start making fur fly, you can't stop. All in all, a good game, that's full of FUN.

Fur fighters is an entertaining game which has only a few things really going for it. It has very impressive graphics, but the controls are easy to master allowing the game to become more entertaining. The story line is the most entertaining part of the game as you take control of 6 little critters trying to save their families. With loads of weapons and puzzles to solve, this is one of those games you either love or hate. I cannot believe how poor the game is. I really would like to change this game for a better one because I feel that the game has let me down and I no longer play it. I would really recommend this to children, but not adults. I think the best adventure game in the Dreamcast directory is Sonic Adventure. Although it only has 1 player mode, it is still a far better game. Not bad, but MSR is a better game from Bizarre Creations. This game is ok, but I do not think it warrants a purchase of £40. I’d pay £15- no more. I think that the graphics are ok, but they could be vastly improved. The game is a little too weird in my opinion. I say 7/10 maybe 8.

Fur Fighters! is a great game which brings with it a little bit of innovativity to the growing genre of GoldenEye copycats. At first sight you'd think this game was for kids only but it's not. There's tons of levels and 6 great characters which all have their own specific missions in the game. Also there's a blinding 4 player 'Fluffmatch' which resembles that of Goldeneye's. Fur Fighters is a classy game, it has loads of humour and bags of character and plays well too. I'd recommend it to everyone - with no other competition to this game you simply must own it!!! Also, it will last because of great challenges and really hard levels at times. I think it's great and the cover looks nice also,.

this is a very addictive game, it may look cartoony but its still great, i never expected this game to be so addictive, it can be annoying whwn you cant find where to go or what to do, but if you stick at it you'll find that what you are looking for is right under you nose! it is about these 6 cute characters who get all there children and wifes/husbands/mums kidnapped, its now your job to get them back from the evil general viggo who has locked them away in each level, there are 6 different kinds of kids(obviously) which only that character can collect.at the end of each hub(where there are 3 level)you must fight a boss, which then lets you on the the next hub. there are also cheats to unlock, most are done by playing the mini games. this game is great and i would recommend it to anyone.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

While “Metropolis Street Racer” is still languishing in a development room somewhere deep inside the bowels of Bizarre Creations’ HQ, their other Dreamcast title “Fur Fighters” (previously titled “Furballs”) has thankfully been recently released to much critical acclaim. A Dreamcast exclusive no less, Fur Fighters is a 3D shooter with a liberal sprinkling of puzzle solving and a side order of platforming. It may look cuddly, but this is one very tough game. I’ll repeat that in case you weren’t listening. This is very tricky – don’t buy this expecting a gentle romp in the park; a quick trigger finger and plenty of grey matter are the pre-requisites here, although the puzzles are thankfully logical. Basically the plot goes something like this, criminal genius General Viggo (a very mean feline with a penchant for human pets) has kidnapped the Fur Fighters’ babies, and our heroes have to seek them all out and do a bit of kiddie-saving. Cue a lorryload of shooting, running around, large end of level bosses and a humungous body count. As the name suggests, the cast of characters include a whole host of creatures and although there’s consistently plenty of gunsmoke in the air, only fur and stuffing ever flies, appeasing even the most ardent anti-gun freak. The excellent cast (who are all very handy with the huge arsenal of guns on offer) include Roofus the dog (great little digger), Juliette the cat (climber), Bungalow the Kangaroo (good at jumping), Tweek the dragon (top glider), Rico the penguin (swimmer) and Chang the firefox (?), who’s small and agile. Although you pick a character at start-up, you’ll be required to play as all these creatures in the course of the game, adding plenty of variety, but also essential as you’ll need to utilise each fighters’ special skills and be required to save each of the babies with his or her own parent. Fur Fighters utilises the classic Goldeneye/Turok button configuration, where the buttons control the characters movement and allow perfect strafing during battles (although I always struggle with this configuration initially), it is perfect for this style of gameplay. The graphics are nice and colourful, although they lack the atmosphere of Rayman 2’s lush visuals, they handle the job at hand. Some of the levels are particularly gorgeous (if you get time to appreciate them, that is). Sound-wise, things are equally well polished, with each character and locale having it’s own distinctive ‘feel’. There’s no doubt that Bizarre Creations have spent a long long time honing and tweaking Fur Fighters’ gameplay – unlike the vast majority of ‘quality’ titles clogging up the racks in your local game emporium, this is well rounded and even includes a fruity four-player ‘fluffmatch’ option. So, how does it rate then? Well, I can’t fault anything in particular with Fur Fighters; I applaud Bizarre Creations on the level of thought and well scripted humour cleverly displayed throughout, but for me personally, it just didn’t stir my loins as I’d hoped. Maybe it’s those furry cartoon creatures? Maybe it’s the style of game? I guess it’s a bit of both, but judging by its woeful sales figures, I’m not the only undecided punter. Whatever, it doesn’t detract from the fact that Fur Fighters is a very good game and an experience Dreamcast owners should dip their toes into.

There are many characters to choose from in this game. The game is full of puzzles which range in difficulty. Throughout the game you use many characters. The levels are massive and become very difficult. There are many different weapons you can use in the game such as the freeze gun. The aim of the game is to save the fur fighters babies and you will use many of the different characters to do this because they each have their own special abilities. It is a fun game to play. If you like games like Turok/Goldeneye then you must buy this.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Fur fighters is a game where you are a type of spy, but as an animal instead of a human. You can choose from six characters each having it’s own special ability/moves. You can and will need to change your character in telepoints within the level. Each character starts off with 100 life points, but after a few hits from the enemy you will soon be flat on your back dead. Basically you make your way around different areas shooting the enemy and collecting guns/ammo and tokens. Tokens are required to gain access to other “hubs”. Along the way you will need to complete a number of tasks and puzzles, some of which are easy and other more taxing, there is a bit of help from strange looking creatures called General Bristol & Sergeant Sternhauser. The main object of the game is to collect the babies of the fur fighters families, which vary from 9 – 11 each level. So far I have not managed to get very far and have little success with the cheat sites on the web. Thus the game has been tossed to one side in frustration. I have found this game a bit confusing and disappointing You can of course call the help line at a charge of 60p per minute at all times – I haven’t had the urge yet as I found this game a bit of a drag.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

Now, the title 'Fur Fighters' doesn't sound too appealing does it? But once you actually play the game, (especially the multiplayer which is amazing) you begin to get hooked. It is basically Turok/Goldeneye, only this time with a dog, cat, kangaroo, dragon etc. The levels are massive (and can be very difficult sometimes), the weapons you can get are outrageous (although, there is the good 'ol pistol in there too), such as the 'Plasma Cannon' and 'Freeze Gun'. Of course, how could I forget one of the best things about the game out of it, the interactive scenery. For example...if you shoot a pipe in the wall next to your opponent, the liquid nitrogen (I think that's what it is) will hit him and freeze him to death. Very handy if you have one bullet left. The game also saves whenever you change character. This is a weakpoint in some games, as there is never a save point when you need it. Changing characters is vital in saving each of the Fur Fighters babies, that are scattered throughout the levels. Each character has their own abilities, such as gliding, jumping highest, digging etc. They all have to be used, as the baby can only be saved by it's respective parent. While it might look like a platformer, it isn't, it's a full on blast 'em up. If you like this kind of game, get this one, you won't be dissapointed and it will add another high quality game to your collection.

Having had this for a week I may be saying this prematurely, but this is the Turok game for the Dreamcast, only with a duck(could be a penguin),dog, cat, kangaroo, dragon and firefox. This i have been waiting for since the Dreamcast came out and the wait was worth it.The levels are big, graphics are brilliant, guns are sometimes outrageous(not all of them, there is still the obligatory pistol and shotgun) and it saves whenever you change character.Turok's weak spot, not enough save points.Changing characters is vital to the game and saving each of the fur fighters babies, and don't worry, there isn't one character you won't get the hang of like some other multiple character games. Each character has a special ability such as digging, climbing, gliding or being small. These all have to be used since each baby can only be saved by it's respective parent. Also, though it looks like a platformer, this it ain't,it is a full blown blast em up with just some jumping involved and more blasting bears afterwards. So,what have we learnt today, shooting the stupid bears in fur fighters is okay, just don't go out hunting bears in real life. You could get hurt, unless you're holding a freeze gun to keep it still while you change to a plasma gun......oh my god i'm addicted!!
