I work as an engineer, so am on my feet for pretty much most of the day, and like most people I like to smell nice, as well as keeping fresh. When it comes to deodorants and Anti-Perspirant's , I tend to stick to mens Nivea or Lynx as I find them the best products for me, they are a well know brand, and tend to last longer and keep me smelling fresher for longer.
My misses picked up a 150ml can for £3.29 from Boots, so expect to pay between £3-£4 from most shops, such as Boots, Sainsbury's, Tesco's etc. Boots currently have a 2 for £5 offer on the lynx products so I find this very good value.
This Lynx product is not only a Anti-Perspirant, but it claims to have thermo protection for 48 hours. It is a new product to the range, so the new 48 thing obviously got me interested. Other than using this, I normally stick to the Attract to him range, but that is only a body spray so wanted to try this.
The can is pretty chunky and is silver in colour, it has blue detailing with the words 'LYNX ATTRACT DRY' written down the side of the can. The can has a twist and press technique so as I am right handed, I held the can in my left hand to open you simply twist the top where the lid comes down slightly, revealing the hole for the spray to come out of, and the button on top you need to press to release the spray.
Pressing the button down, the spray comes out clear, you need to hold the can 15 cm away from your underarm and spray, I always use 3-4 bursts under each armpit. The smell is quite strong and you can smell it as soon as you press the button, the smell is quite fruity and reminds me of an aftershave, it has that evening wear effect, so would be ideal if you were heading out for evening and had no aftershave to put on because you would still smell this anti-perspirant because the smell lingers and hangs around you all day.
I start work at 7am so leave at 6.20 and when I get home at 4.50pm the misses always breathes it in when I give her a kiss after work....god that sounds corny! Some of the days at work I am run off my feet yet I still come home smelling nice, it has great staying power. Most evenings I do my weights and after this the Lynx has calmed down a little so more needs to be added (normally around 9pm) by which point I have a bath anyway, so for me it lasts from when I apply it at 6.15am until around 8pm, so sadly not the 48 hours it claims by which point I'm doing my weights and sweating quite a bit.
The smell is really nice, it has the aftershave effect, while keeping me smelling fresh and non sweaty. It is quite overpowering, but even if you sweat a little during the day the smell of this will hide that. I also feel fresh all day, some days while I have harder and more exhausting work to do than other days I still feel fresh and clean and have no need to keep re-applying while at work. The only bad point I have about this product is that it claims to last 48hours, where as I was needing to reapply after 14 hours, which still isn't bad, not not what I was expecting.
I go through 1 can every 2 weeks which I feel is great value for money. It smells nice, is long lasting and keeps me smelling and feeling fresh.
*Use in a well ventilated area
*Avoid prolonged spraying
*Do not use near eyes, broken or irritated skin
I have owned many Lynx deodorants over the years and I'm interested to try their new products when they release any. Lynx Atrract is one of the most popular of their recent deodorants and the fragrance continues the more up market feel of the last few deodorants from Lynx which have a scent which seems more expensive than the usual Lynx price but is the same price at around £2 a can. The can is the usual 150ml size and uses the twist cap which came in a few years ago. Earlier this year Lynx introduced a line of Women's products and there is also a Lynx Attract "for her" so Women may not need to pinch their Man's Lynx shower gel or deodorant anymore.
I have been impressed by the scents of many of Lynx's recent deodorants and this Lynx Attract continues that with a very pleasant scent which is of a fruity and woody nature, The fruitiness comes from Pomegranate, apple and blueberry and the woody notes combine well with violet, sage and lavender. As usual there's also a shower gel version of Lynx Attract like with all the other Lynx fragrances. Unsurprisingly the shower gel works well with this deodorant. The scent lasts well and has a fresh feel which is best when sprayed on just after using with the accompanying shower gel but blends well with most others though. As it's part of the "Dry" range it keeps you smelling good through the day and combats excessive sweat. Lynx have had this range for a couple of years now and it has worked well with the four currently available.
This is an excellent deodorant from Lynx and continues a long run of very strong showings from Lynx Deodorants over the past few years as a more up market change has worked out well in the Lynx range. I have owned the deodorant a couple of times and would certainly buy it again as there are plenty of great offers for Lynx deodorants available in the Supermarkets and of course stores like Boots and Superdrug. The combination of a very nice scent and good protection against sweat and odor combine to make this an excellent product for a decent price. Check it out next time you are in the need of a new deodorant. I might get it in a few months when I have run out of my current deodorants.
==Lynx Attract Dry Anti-Perspirant==
I have always been a fan of Lynx, with the many different fragrances on offer & the enticing TV adverts, it's hard to resist! I have plenty of favourite Lynx fragrances, like Excite, Cool Metal, Final Edition 2012 & the Attract, of course. I have always been a fan of Lynx Dry, which works at keeping sweat away, so when I saw they were making a 'Dry' version of my beloved attract, I bursted with joy!
==How I got it==
I had seen the offer Morrisons were doing a couple of weeks ago when a 150ml Lynx can was slashed to £1.50 instead of the normal price of £2.89. Even though this offer was good, there was still many cans of Lynx on the shelves, in which many were the Final Edition 2012! The one I was looking for, the Attract Dry, was found on the end of the aisle, along with the excite. I took this to the till & was happy to pay £1.50 for it, but not £2.89 as I feel this is quite expensive just for one can.
==What's the Difference?==
You're probably wondering, what's the difference between this & normal Lynx? Well, normal Lynx is Body Spray, which you spray over clothing or just on your stomach. Whereas the Dry variations are Anti-Perspirants, which is a deodorant you can spray underarm. The thing is, I've used Normal Lynx under my arms & it works fine, except the Dry version lasts for 48-hours, or so they say.
==Looks of the Can, Price & Availability==
The can is a silver colour with a black twist top lid & the Lynx logo running up the side. Anti-Perspirant, is displayed in the dent of the can where the lid twists into, & Attract & Dry, are displayed by the Lynx logo. A 48h 'Thermo Protection'claim is put at the bottom of the can. The back will feature how to use instructions, Cautions, Ingredients & contact details should you ever need to contact Lynx's makers, Unilever. (Ciao can you please put up a picture!)
As mentioned before the Price was £1.50 (normally £2.89), but it is £2.89 in Tesco & ASDA, £3 in Sainsburys & Waitrose, & £3.05 in Boots & Superdrug. You can regularly find it on offer though such as half price, BOGOF (buy one get one free) & Price Fall. I dont mind paying full price if I know it's going to work, but I normally get a couple of cans of Lynx for Christmas!
I use this Lynx when I get out of the shower & when I get up in the morning, as many people do. To use I twist the lid clockwise so it will reveal a button I can press to release the Anti Perspirant. I then give the can a good shake as if you don't shake it the Lynx will feel all wet but you should shake deodorant before you use it. I normally open the window & stand close to the window when spraying as the smell can be quite strong if a window isn't open. I spray on both my underarms & my stomach & chest. It feels nice & fresh against your skin. Putting on a T-Shirt & touching my underarms through the shirt they are dry. During the day I feel fresh & not all hot & bothered so I know that the Lynx is fulfilling it's purpose. At the end of the day when I take off my shirt It dosent smell or feel wet so it does work! This product claims to have '48 hour Thermo Protection' which means it should keep you dry for two days. I have a shower every two days & it does keep me dry even though I spray this on every morning!
Lynx Dry anti-Perspirant is an essential for when we get hot days! It keeps me dry & smelling fresh all day no matter what I do! For £1.50 this is an excellent product to have on your dressing table & even though the price is £2.89 I would pay that because I know now how much value for money this is!
