I wouoldn't choose to use Roll On Deodorant for my daily Deo. I'm sure it really does as good a job and I know some people that prefer to use this kind of product instead of the Spray, but I just think a good blast with a spray does the job for me. I have taken to have a Roll on in the house to apply before I go to bed. Why is that? Just because. I think it all started a couple of months ago. We have put loads of Insulation in our Attic and the upstairs of our house seems to be pretty cosy i the evenings, so I like to give a slick of this to keep me that bit fresher through the night with the warmth up there. This comes in a 50ml Roll on. It is quite a wide and dumpy bottle with a large roller ball on top. The lid is easy enough to get off and the packaging looks quite simple. There is a label on the front and back of the pack and it looks fresh and light. I feel that I roll this under my armpits, and then give another roll. Not sure if 1 go would be enough, but it's just a habit. This seems to give a good coverage and although seems pretty wet underneath when first applied it dried pretty quick. Still that bit damp but nothing bad. This I think is normally around £1.50 but Asda was selling it 2 weeks ago for £1. This looks larger than other Roll on's but they are all 50ml that I have seen. So how does this smell? It is a nice scent. Hard to say what it smells of, but I would say there is a splash of Baby Powder, but just ever so slightly mixed with fresh airy scent and a slight Creamy scent as well. Not as overpowering as Dove with the Cream scent, but a nice scent that smelt that bit nicer once settled and dried. A nice fresh scent that done it's job in keeping me dry and fresh smelling.
Dove Roll on Deodorant Fresh Touch is my usual brand, after having tried many different roll-ons. Price wise it depends where you get it but I usually pay between 1.50 and 2. It is not the absolute cheapest on the market, but it is pretty economical and excellent value for money as it is so reliable and works well. Some roll-ons can be sticky and take a long time to dry but this is not a problem with this item. This reliability can be said to apply to all Dove roll-ons but the Fresh Touch in particular has a nice fresh fragrance. I have sensitive skin and the fragrance does not react with my skin at all. The bottle is a handy shape and is light and small which is perfect for travel. A roll on is the obvious choice over a spray for environmental reasons. All in all an excellent choice.
I use dove roll on deoderant everyday and would not use any other deoderant than this anymore. With dove you know you are getting a very good quality product and their roll on deoderant is no different, you only need to use the roll on once as it then lasts all day and what i like is with all their products the smell is the same for everything as i use nearly all their products soap, handwash, shampoo, shower cream, moisturiser, hand cream and its nice to know the scents wont clash. The smell of dove is very subtle and gentle and would be ok as a unisex product as its not flowery like perfume. Dove roll on is also great if you have sensitive skin as its very mild and gentle, i find it so nice that i can use it straight after shaving and it doesnt sting like some products i have tried in the past. If you havent tried dove then i highly recommend it, it is a natural and pure product, hope you love it as much as me.
Dove is a godsend for any girl with sesitive 'pits'! I developed an allergic reaction to deoderants containing alcohol a few years ago and Dove deoderants have 0% alcohol, great! When I first used this deoderant I was impressed with the subtle fresh smell. Some deoderants have quite a powerful somewhat chemical smell to them. Off to a good start then! Once I had applied the deoderant I realised that there was no stinging whatsoever after shaving, no more gurning whilst wating for the pain to subside! Another bonus I thought! The only real downside is because theses deoderants do not have any alcohol they do take a bit longer to dry than those that do. This is nothing a quick blast from the hairdryer cannot sort out though ;-) Dove have now followed suit with other brands and are now producing this deoderant in an 'upside down' bottle. Why they didn't do this years ago I don't know as we are forever standing them on their lids to get a few more days, even weeks use out of them! Dove also use a quarter moisturiser in their products so you get to moisturise your underarms whilst making them smell lovely! My underarms have never looked so good!! As far as dryness is concerened I have found this deoderant just as effective as other leading brands. I also us the 'Invisible Dry' version of this which is great as it doesn't leave any white marks. There's nothing worse that putting on your favourite black top and ending up with white stripes on it like a tiger!! Overall I recommend this to anyone who wants dry, moisturised lovely smelling underarms!
Dove roll on deodorant is excellent for people with sensitive skin. I use it from time to time, when it is on offer. MY EXPERIENCE OF DOVE FRESH TOUCH I epilated under my arms for the first time literally 10 minutes before we were leaving to go on holiday (there's nothing like leaving things until the last minute!!) The skin was VERY sore and bleeding in places (yes I know - stupid, but I was only taking hand luggage for a week so couldn't take a razor!) I was thinking of just using talc under my arms but then thought that after a day of traveling with me ponging, my husband might disown me so out of shear love for him (are you reading this?!) I gritted my teeth and used deodorant. Fortunately there was some Dove roll on in the cupboard or I might have screamed out in pain! The Dove did not hurt at all. Even with little dots of blood all under my arms and a massive red rash from the epilating, it honestly did not sting or hurt one bit. In fact, it was quite calming on the skin, as it gave some much-needed moisture. If you don't want to torture yourself after shaving under your arms, then Dove is the deodorant for you! In fact it is the only deodorant that I can use after shaving which doesn't sting like hell! The deodorant can take a while to dry sometimes and the scent does not last all day. However, it is very kind to skin and the perfume of Fresh Touch is lovely and light and fresh - it is a little like citrus fruit. I really like it. The roll on comes in a standard 50ml pot and is price between £2 and £2.50. It is averagely priced.
If you don't want to torture yourself after shaving under your arms, then Dove is the deodorant for you! In fact it is the only deodorant that I can use after shaving which doesn't sting like hell! I use the roll on version, which is easy to use and it dries quickly, which is a bonus for any roll on deodorant. I have been known to walk around the bedroom flapping my arms as though I am dancing to The Birdie Song trying to dry my pits before I can get dressed! Within the roll on section of Dove's range there is still a choice to be made - there's Dove Original, Dove Sensitive and Dove Fresh Touch to name but three and there may be more! The one that I am currently using is Dove Deodorant Fresh Touch Roll On to give it its full title and it currently costs about £2.30 for a 50ml container. It is all plastic so it is recycleable, which is a good point as far as I am concerned. The container is an odd curved shape so that it is easy to grip and use. The screw cap is pale green and the label on the front announces that it is 'anti perspirant, anti transpirant and deodorant'. Once you unscrew the cap you are faced with a big ball (ooer missus!) which makes applying the deodorant to your underarms nice and easy. The deodorant always runs freely and there is never any problem with it drying out. As with all Dove products this deodorant is one quarter moisturising cream and it smells lovely. I find that fragrances are very difficult to describe but this one is very fresh and clean and has a touch of cucumber in it. It isn't as flowery as a lot of this type of products which makes a pleasant change. The deodorising and antiperspirant effect lasts all day even in hot weather, not that this has been a problem here this year! I work as a merchandiser so I am constantly on the go during 5 to 6 hour shifts and I never have any problems with perspiration or BO. Being a roll on, it is in a small container making it ideal to take on holiday, and as it contains no propellant it can be taken on an aeroplane with no fear of explosions. The other advantage of using a roll on deodorant is that it is kind to the environment, as it does not contain any CFC gases. Even though the container is a strange curved shape the top of the lid is flat which means that, when you get to what appears to be the end of the deodorant, you can store it upside down and get at least another week's worth of fresh armpits. It might sound a bit scrooge like but I don't like wasting anything and we are in the middle of a credit crunch after all! All in all I am very impressed with this deodorant - it works well, it isn't expensive and it smells lovely!
