I bought this printer about 2 years ago for approximately £60.00 when I got completely fed up with my Xerox printer. I was attracted to the idea of a three in one printer and to be fair it has NEVER let me down. I have been able to use all functions with incredible ease and when buying cheaper cartridges off ebay, it has meant that I have never had to spend an awful lot of money to keep it running. To change the cartridges is remarkably easy and its interface with the PC is brilliant. If it ever has a problem the interface clearly explains what this issue is and how to resolve it. I recently had a problem (of my own devising) in that I changed computer and whilst the printer worked I couldnt find the software for the scanner. However, the Epson website was very valuable and had all the software ready to download so I was good to go in just a few short minutes. The print quality is not brilliant but it does the job and is extremely reliable which is more than I can say for a lot of printers :)
Epson CX3650: its my main printer, i bought it about 2 years ago (and i paid it 50 £) because i need a simple and low price multifunciont printer, because i noticed a lot of times happened i needed to photocopy some documents.. and it was very boring to go out only for this.. Using my cx36500 i can print and photocopy a lot, and i do it: because i need and because i found (on ebay, almost) very cheap cartdriges (i spend about 0.8£ each, buying 30-40 every time) I think this is the most beautiful thing of printing: when you can print what and when you want, without expending problem and having always new cartridges to use. This could be "risky" beacuse (in theory) using not original cartdriges warranty is void, but i calculated that saves early are much more then new printer price (this if you buy a low price printer-multifunction and if you have-want to print a lot..) so i suggest you to act in same way :) One negative (and sometimes bothering) thing is speed: this printer is slow, very slow: i never reached manifacture's declared speed (15 ppm , colours or mono) and when you have to printi hundreds of pages you have to wait hours.. So i dont suggest you to buy this printer NOW: it was a very good choice when i bought it, but not now. My advice is to look very well cartridges' price when you buy a new printer: as i said if you plan to use it a lot it makes (economical) difference. I cannot print photos, or better, i could, but quality of printed photos, using CX3650, is poor.. i dont care it because i prefer to order photes printing instead of making them myself, but if you are considering to buy one used CX3650 you have to know this.
