I flew from London to Delhi and back again with Jet Airways in June 2012. Check in in London took ages as they didn't seem to have many staff on the check in desks, which was annoying, but I still got through security with plenty of time to spare. The check in staff were very friendly and efficient once at the desk. I booked with Jet Airways as they were the cheapest option when I booked the flights so I wasn't expecting anything amazing. The seats were comfy enough and I had plenty of space, although at only 5 foot 3 tall, I never really find space too much of a problem on planes. The food on my flight out was nice, much better than I was expecting and better than lots of plane food I've eaten in the past. However on the way back, the food was very bland and I didn't really enjoy it at all which was disappointing considering how good it had been on the way out. The air stewards/stewardesses were friendly and helpful, providing extra drinks if people wanted them. The in flight entertainment was great with a choice of hollywood or bollywood. It had a range of recent films and the kids choice was good too. I also discovered how great bollywood is! Once we'd landed and through passport control, my bag arrived quickly and with no annoyance of having to wait around for ages before the bags were put on the conveyor belt. Overall, I'd say Jet Airways offer great value flights with good service and comfortable seats.
I flew with Jet Airways in March 2012 from Heathrow, London to Bangkok. It was a very long flight, approximately 12 hours there and 14 hours on the way back. There was also a stop off in Mumbai which in hindsight I wish I hadn't chosen as it made the journey a lot longer than it would've been if we went direct. The first plane to Mumbai was very large with all the space you could want. We got moved to the front and so had no one sat in front of us which was a huge plus point! The seats exceptionally comfortable and they were leather with a cushion on every seat and a head rest. You had your own personal TV which had a lot of up to date films and TV series including Frozen Planet, as well as audiobooks, music videos and an iPod type device where you could listen to current artists albums such as Rihanna and Usher. The TV also had a game controller and bejewelled blitz certainly kept me entertained for much of my flight!! There were also TV screens at the front which displayed the local time at the destination you were going to and the country you had just left, with the time to destination and other important information. The cabin crew seems happy at all times and they were very pleasant even with a man who was sat close to us and constantly kept asking questions. Their bright yellow uniforms were very smart and all staff looked presentable on all flights. I felt at ease during the whole journey despite not being a huge fan of flying. There were a couple of downsides though. Unfortunately our short haul connection flight to Bangkok was approximately 4 hours long so when we got back on the plane, it was a very small one. While I understand many passengers boarded in Mumbai, the remaining 4 hours were extremely uncomfortable having already been sat down for the last 8 hours. Similarly, I found the food served on the aircraft wasn't great. I am a vegetarian and while they had such options, they weren't as varied as i would have hoped for, although I have since found out that you can order food in advance which I would do if I was travelling again. On the bright side, food, snacks and refreshments were served regularly for no extra charge and they also had some little cookies which were rather nice and a saviour for me as I didn't like the other food! All other aspects of the aircraft such as toilets were all clean and seemed very hygenic. Jet Airways also advertised a rewards scheme if you sign up, and you can earn 'miles' which you can redeem against purchases such as flight upgrades etc so that is a great addition for those who traveller regularly. In conclusion, I would travel with Jet Airways again however I think the main thing was that the food let them down and also the small plane on the second flight, but that isn't their fault and it is something I probably should have investigated before flying with them.
I used Jet airways to fly from London to Bangkok last summer. There was a stop off in Mumbai too. The staff on the aircraft where very helpful and friendly and never short or snappy even thought the flight was 10 hours to Mumbai. They were well presented with delightful yellow uniforms and very smiley and willing to assist in anyway they could. The aircraft itself was a large plane seating 3x3x3 with comfortable seats (as comfortable as you can get for economy) and you were provided with meals and a blanket as well as a television with a good choice of up to date music and films. This particular flight was £420 which believe me is a VERY good price for this flight. Being scared of flying, the plane itself was a very pleasant experience with as much assistance from staff as required and extra comforts (even a hot towel to wipe your hands with after a meal. Also, Great food! Indian dishes on both flights which were surprisingly tasty. I Don't have much bad to say about this airline.
I used this airline to fly to Thailand last year with my girlfriend. I found this airline to be very good indeed. The check in staff were friendly and we didn't experience a too long waiting time to check in our luggage. The planes themselves were very clean and tidy and the cabin crew were very pleasant and polite. The food that was served on board was very tasty but you could be in trouble if you don't like Indian food as because this is and Indian airline most of the food they serve are curry's. Although they do have some other meals but they ran out of them very quickly. The in flight entertainment was very good with some very recently released films on. All seats had their own TVs and you could select what film you wanted at whatever time you liked. There is also the option to play games through the remote control for the TV but I found these did not work very well and would freeze. Overall my flight on Jet airways was an enjoyable experience with the flight taking off and landing on time.
